Madhuri stole the show. Even a director like Anurag Kashyap had once said the only reason he could tolerate Devdas was because of Madhuri.

I know a lot of people who hated the movie but loved Madhuri in it. Although I loved the movie and everyone in it including Aish.

This movie i think is the first reason to know Madhuri - an actress, dancer, charmer. She alone is the saving grace to this otherwise dull movie. Even SRK failed to impress me in this and Aish looked anything but sad.

Both held their own and did complete justice to their parts. Right from the beauty, to acting and dancing - they were marvelous. In fact, why pit the actresses against each other, they were both individually and together better than the male lead.

Madhuri . I still listen to Maar Dala weekly.. just to watch her expressions and grace.⭐️
She has something special when dancing...every gesture and smile and look..it's magnetic.

But I must say Aish was stunningly beautiful and did really well, too.

Their Dola Re Dola is all kinds of awesome.

Glad they did a movie together, they are beautiful and talented ladies -wish there was more in depth story about them..more screen time together.

I never understood how people tolerate this film or any Bhansali film for that matter, let alone talk about acting in them

Devdas is the cheesiest movie I've ever seen. It was intolerable. I didn't enjoy anyone's acting in devdas. too much overacting, overly dramatic scenes.
as a director SLB improved a lot with BM and Padmavaat. both these movies had subtle and nuanced performances. My absolute favourite movies of SLB.

Predictable reply. 😆

But BM & Padmavat were anything but ''subtle & nuanced''. 😆

Madhuri was the saving grace of this otherwise melodramatic movie. SRK overacted and Aish mediocre acting wise but looked really beautiful.
