the acting in this movie was atrocious.
it is like asking what is better poop or puke.

Both did really well. I have watched Devdas with people who are not Indian. They found the Chandramukhi/Devdas relationship far more interesting than Devdas Paro. I mean I haven't read the novel but the way it comes across in the movie is they were just too immature to manage a relationship and let their ego and pride get the best of them. Chandramukhi and Devdas, on the other hand, managed to develop a sense of mutual respect and adoration towards each other without really being in love. I think Madhuri had more to work with but both were really good. I do watch Devdas over and over again for both performances. Both nailed their characters to the tee.

Again Deepika being meh in SLB movies doesn't change anything about my opinion of Aish and Madhuri being meh in Devdas😆
