So I keep reading that why shd Mauli be single? Why shd she suffer? She has rights to be happy..

So, being single means suffering? Are we still so regressed to think that a woman needs a man to keep her happy? Why cannot be Mauli single n happy? I know so many women who are happily single n yes they hv a child too. One is my role model actually.

Coming back to show, I no more know this Mauli.. this is a puppet Mauli I see... I miss the pre-leap Mauli. I miss that charming smile n hasti Mauli..

I no more care abt Kunal or Ishaan. Her smiling at Ishaan's calls is not enuff for me to ship them. Her one-sided feeling for Kunal is also no reason for me to ship them.
I want Mauli to be happy be it with either of the guys or alone.

And no, staying without a man in life is not being unhappy.

You are absolutely right. And she has stayed single for 6/7 years. And happily so too. But that doesn't mean she shouldn't move on. Of course she isn't the same Mouli. She is never going to be the same. She has been through a lot and that changes people. She looks at and lives relationships differently now. Thats only logical. In fact, I am bummed she is not dealing with trust and commitment issues. But hey, thats hindi serial for us.
I dont think anyone is saying she shouldn't be single but if there is someone who loves her, who she also seems to like, who has practically been a family, then whats the harm in moving on? She is not being forced into a marriage with the first guy that came.

I'd rather she stays single than in a loveless or faithless marriage

Mauli has changed because life has dealt her a cruel blow. She gave everything of herself to Kunal and his family and she got a kick in the face. So she's cautious now..she's probably also scared and that's why she hasn't given her heart to Ishaan yet,,bu hopefully we will see that happy bubbly Mauli again soon 😊

For me, I don't mind a single Mauli, because it takes a lot of strength to be a single mother. Mauli is already shown to be a strong, independent, fierce woman who fights battles head on and comes out stronger.
So showing her as a single mother (which she has been for the past 6 years or so), wouldn't be a horrible ending.

But from everything they have shown post-leap, I cannot pinpoint if she actually doesn't love Ishaan or if she's too scared to fall in love again from everything she has endured.

The first few episodes after the leap, I assumed she was slowly falling for Ishaan.

But when Kunal came back and all her pre-leap memories came back with his arrival, and all the flashbacks, and the whole camp track/her getting drunk at this birthday dinner and getting emotional about the EMA made me re-think that she is still struggling with her feelings for Kunal and that is what is holding her back from loving Ishaan or anyone really.

So I would like that aspect of her character to be worked on. Because in my opinion, for her to truly rise above it all she should conquer her fears and insecurities instead of running away from them like she has been doing - by closing herself off at first towards Kunal, then towards love/Ishaan.

Marrying Ishaan would be icing on the cake. But if they just showed her heal through her hurt, accept that she loves Kunal but that doesn't mean she wants to be with him, show that she is able to trust men/love again, etc. and then she chooses to stay single, then I think that will be the second best alternative, if there is no Ishaali wedding.

hey ru hi!
i toh dont want a single mauli..
why she should sulk in kunal's memory ??

and why it is assumed that if a woman is single then she is strong and if she is remarrying then she is weak??

its not that she needs a man in her life to support herself , she is self sufficient . but if her happiness doubles by marrying ishaan then why not??

why not let her take a second chance in love??
is it that horrible??
is moving on to a new guy is that bad thing?? how does that prove that she NEEDS him.
and even if she needs him then also i am fine with it..

when a guy needs a woman in his wife nobody puts a question mark.. but if a woman needs a guy in her life ,we become feminists.. 😕

when mauli has clearly stated that she isnt compromising and ishaan is her happiness then why dont u want her to let marry him??

are u watching the show regularly??
mauli is not at all adjusting. she is so damn happy.

Would you say the same thing if Mauli was a man?

What's wrong in wanting a man by her side? Some women cannot live without men by their side, and it's completely okay.

In Mauli's case, living without a man would be sad, since that would be a victory for Kunal's cheating. It will also send out the message that a woman should remain a sati savitri dukhiyari even if her husband cheats and leaves her.

I think we are misinterpreting the whole scenario here, Mauli should stay single but not for rest of her life, but that's only if she doesn't want to marry either Kunal or Ishaan, she shouldn't stay single pining for Kunal, she shouldn't stay single if she loves Ishaan, she should stay single if she does not love either of them and is happy with her life... Later if she finds someone she loves, she can live with him..
Don't want her in a loveless marriage

I disagree that needing a partner to be happy is regressive .
That's too judgemental.
Some people may be happy being single, some may needed a partner to be happy. One cannot question or belittle people's choices like that.
Mauli should choose what makes her happy.

Belittle? Are u talking to me? My point was why shd Mauli's happiness depend on Ishaan or Kunal or some other guy? If she choose either, it's well n good. But if she wanna stay single, it shd not be considered that she is unhappy.
