She has to pick from she is offered to establish herself and to be visible. Moreover she has spunk to be conventional hindi film heroine plus she can act. So She can do both, hopefully she is offered both types of roles and balances them. Issue could have been if she was limited actress that isn't that case as she has successfully done both massy and classy movies.

"Varun must be relieved. He is no longer the baby of the family as all of us now shower all our kisses, cuddles and hugs on my grandchild, he beams.

Despite new fatherhood, work isn't taking a backseat for Rohit who is all set to direct his third film. Surprise, surprise - it won't have Varun in the lead.

Explains David, "Yeh zaroori nahin hai ke Rohit ke har film mein Varun ho. But yes, Varun will star in every film that I direct. That's a promise I've made to myself. In fact, I am starting a film with Varun later this year.

Is it a remake or an original? "I'd like it to be an original film. We've zeroed-in on a couple of ideas. But if these don't work out, I will remake one of my Govinda or Salman starrers with Varun.

David is rightly proud of what Varun has achieved. "I was bowled over by Varun's work in October and Sui Dhaaga last year. It's God's blessing, he says.

On his part, Varun has encouraged his father to become health-conscious. "Earlier I was totally uncaring. But I had a major health scare in Bangkok a few years ago, and Varun was with me. He decided he will control my diet and make sure I stay fit.

Janam jeevan DD ne remakes banayee hain even during his prime, the best scenario would be them buying rights of a fun South movie & remaking it...
