I don't think there's anything to hype about here. She was trolled for attending Sonam's wedding right after her mom's death. She was trolled for visiting Tirupati after her mom's death. She was trolled for not speaking much about her mom in interviews and being labelled as a kid who doesn't love her mom. Add to that her calling Arjun,brother because of which she was trolled by crazy Sridevi fans on twitter. But despite all of this, if she displays the maturity in conducting herself in the public eye without breaking down, I think it is commendable of her to do that.

Leave others, I don't think I myself will be in a position to join back in office if something similar happens to me. She is atleast not trying to gain sympathy using her mom's name like the makers of Dhadak did or Boney himself did at IIFA. Whatever love or hate she is getting, it is for herself. So don't think anyone's overhyping. It takes a lot of strength to get back to your normal self after such a big loss like this. And they are celebrities with cameras all around them, so it definitely is nice to see how she conducts herself and speaks about her mom. Atleast at the age she is in. No one deserves to lose a parent so young, especially when they are as close as Janhvi-Sridevi. Very mature of her. I remember Sushmita Sen also saying the same after attending her funeral.

Even Priyanka and Sri herself did the same.

Oh please!!! You are talking as if these celebrities do the most toughest job in the world. Common people also go back shortly to their work after having a tragedy in their life. No one has time to cry about how unfair and miserable their life is. Acting and dancing is her job. Don't know when Jhanvi also started singing. And she did took a break from the shoot after her mother's demise. So it's not like she got back to work "right after" Sridevi's death.

There is also two sides of a coin. If she got trolled, and then she's also getting unanimous praises from media and fans for handling her mother's death, as if she's the only one who has lost her mother.

Also there are different ways ways of showing grief. Jhanvi might be a person who doesn't like to show her emotions to anyone. You don't have to break down all the time for the loss a loved one. Recently, I lost two of my friends in a bike accident. I went to their funeral, and saw that the mother of my friend was handling herself very really well. She was just crying a little bit, and you can imagine her pain. She has lost her son, but she was still able to maintain her calm.

If someone uses his or her's death for sympathy, then he or she is a big time jerk. But you don't become mahaan for NOT doing that.

Couldn't he use his personal account for that? This is so unprofessional using official filmfare account for his personal and biased opinion.

Well if they give her an award for a performance that mediocre than it will prove that only blood lineage counts for Filmfare. About this person's unprofessionalism. No words!

Unpopular opinion but Jhanvi is such a cutiepie. Sridevi would be very proud of how graceful and strong she is.

Good, I never warmed upto Sara and I've always liked Jahnvi more.
Sara has a cold, calculative vibe to her and her bubble persona seems like a facade.

@Paachaa,
So you are saying that Jhanvi should be applauded just because she's a public figure? I don't agree with that. Inn celebs ko chane ke jhaad par chadane ki zaroorat nahi hai. Also I was not praising my friend's mother. I was just giving an example that how people have different ways of showing grief. I wouldn't have called her weak if she had been crying. Just like that I'll not call Jhanvi strong just because she was not breaking down in front of media. Maybe she's just not that emotional. Some people are just like that. There is nothing strong or weak about that.

There are celebrities who stay away from media and public eye like Aamir or Hrithik. So it's not like they don't have a choice. Jhanvi could've taken solace if she wanted. But her priority was her career over her mother's death.

Common people don't have choice to say no just because they have a desk job. They also have a Boss. to please. They also have deadlines to complete their project, commitments to make. They also can't cry or show their emotions to their employees.

And these actors do throw their tantrums around. They can arrive late at the set, refuse to reshoot a scene, and sometimes they also leave without completing the schedule, and the whole crew has to packup because of that. But the director and producer still have to lick their @ss, as they are the face of the movie. Common people don't have these choices. How much more break does Jhanvi wants? One and half week is more than enough, when some people can't even afford to
take a leave for even one day.
