It was always said that cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties, but even this gentleman's game is more predictable than our desi TV affairs. Take Colors show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka for example. At first it was announced that this show about extramarital affairs, along with Bepannaah, is about to shut down due to low ratings. Then, as a bolt from the blue came a sliver of hope for Silsila, when it was announced that this Sphere Origins production will move exclusively to online. Bepannaah leads, on the other hand, allegedly refused this olive branch, and their show was axed.

Now Colors has again decided to move Silsila back to broadcast, albeit it has started to air from yesterday at 12 noon and 6 pm.

Lead actor Kinshuk Mahajan confirmed the same. "We were not informed officially about the shift back to TV. It was some fans who informed us about the good news. We were pleasantly surprised with the news of Silsila coming back to TV. Accordingly, we then touched base with the concerned people who told us that yes the channel has decided to bring us back. It feels good to be back, for the medium is huge; but yes, digital is fast catching up as well.

The early evening time slot is also better than the late night 11.30 slot, which were we were last on telly.

So what made the powers to be change their mind? "Officially, we have not been given any reason, but from whatever we hear on set, it is said that the numbers on Voot (2000 to 6000) tripled once it went only online, which might have convinced the channel higher ups to give us one more chance on the tube.

Here Kinshuk does not want to hazard a guess on how long the show will now last going ahead. "We actors are always the last to know. I can just hope that if they do plan to run it for a month or two, they should give the story a proper ending.

When asked whether Bepannaah leads made a mistake in not agreeing to go online as maybe even they would have come back, he says, "I am no one to comment on what others do or not, but yes, we as a team decided to continue with the show, knowing that a show shutting down hurts the employment of many. Also, we were assured that our money and working conditions would not change on Voot.

The cases of BP & silsila r way different. I don't think they would have given same treatment to BP although BP was golden goose. Silsila already was facing backlash & story was hugely compromised there after leap. Its no longer d same show. They have already interfered a lot in our show as well. Yes I agree with d employment and practical reasons but BP as a show depends on d emotional connection. The day u mess with that that's the end. Sometimes its better to take d moral high ground & shut d show instead of ruining it. There's a way to do everything. What channel has done with both d shows is absolutely ridiculous but u can see d difference in approach in dealing & final product. We r still proud of our show till d last moment cvs were able to show their creativity under that pressure. I'm not able to recognize silsila anymore tbh (no offense to the fans & team. For me it was a much needed concept to be openly discussed but what they have done?

There is no doubt bepanah was number 1 show online. One scene between the leads it's get trended. I definitely feel it would have worked.

Moreover Rangu is doing that now after all its shows r not doing well & it has faced a lot of backlash due to axing of bp. But before that they have already interfered a lot there. Had bp was moved to voot, channel wouldn't have faced this & would have continued its arrogant behaviour.

The channel wants viewership. Simple. If they get more views it forces them to get them back on TV. Bepanah would definitely get more viewership.

Wat use to continue agar channel taang adaata rahe aur cvs ko compromise kar kar ke story ka satyanash karna pade. I miss Bepannaah too much, par better khatm kiya rather than bigar de. Waise bhi jo iska ant hona chahiye tha woh rush me kuch disappointing hi raha, par no blame to cvs. Blue baby ko janam dena tha to bepBepann ki hatya ki.

The cases of bepannaah and silsila are very different

Firstly silsila as a show faced A LOT of backlash for its storyline, then drashti quit so CVs were forced to change the story completely. I guess their PH wanted a chance for the new track to be explored so they agreed for voot.

But in Bepannaah's case, cinevistas or more so Anirudh no longer wanted to bow down to channel's demands with regards to the story. I can tell he must have struggled to keep the essence intact with the interference from channel and papa hooda's death including the ram sita scene may have been the last straw. So he and PH decided to end the show trying to squeeze in as much of the essence as they could in the last few episodes instead of allowing BP to continue on voot and berangu completely murders the story. This was a very wise decision to make. I feel like spitting on berangu, did they seriously think Cinevistas are fools who will dance to their tunes like other PHs 😆 they are a reputed production house, have been there since 1985 I think. Back in those days, they had complete creative freedom but due to the shitty TRP system indian tv has now , they only compromise with the story to a certain extent.

What they did to bepanah? Is it recognisable? The only point matters is that there is viewership like in case of bepanah it's the chemistry between the leads it's not the story. The chemistry was something that viewers couldn't stop watching it.

It was foolish of Cinevistaa not to have opted for Voot or Jenny and Harshad, they could have waited a while ans then the channel would have brought them back on Tav.
Chemistry is just 20% of the show 80% is the story that is what sells advertiment & the reason the show survives.

The leads are needed to romance to give the oerks in the show the real crux is the drama. Annirudh should have been patient & taken right decision.
Harshad was cribbing that show got over and disspointed as he wanted to explore Asitya Hooda.

They could have sustain well even after Harsh died new path to story & brought a better set of lines for the show to keep going with the suspense & thrill and a spark of romance with the lead oaurs.
Drama is the biggest seller and if Cinivistaa had patience Bepannaah would rock the charts again

I don't think Anirudhha, Cinevistas or Jenshad were happy while deciding this. It was a team decision & surely everything would have been taken into account that I can vouch for as the PH is one of d oldest & known for its caring attitude towards its cast & crew. What Rangu is doing now is a cheap tactic to put blame on PH after facing backlash. They were not ready for that. They didn't expect this kind of outrage & reactions from all quarters. If they were so keen to keep bp for viewership then bp was already in top 10 or 5 at regular basis in online trp. They were getting max sm recognition due to bp. Why they didn't consider that? Moreover 6 pm slot was empty why they didn't move silsila there earlier? It's all just a face saving exercise & nothing else 😡🤢
