I think he has figured out a lucrative business.. Everyone wants to be the next alia.. I think the parents might be financing or paying our investing in kjo business .. He has a knack for pretty packaging and presentation . . There is no way that he is genuinely interested in their talent

He's been trying very hard to recreate the relationship he had with top stars of their time srk, kajol, kareena. But after their relationship cooled down during various points in life he wants the next stars to be indebted to him completely. Even Varun who has his own dad to bail him out in the govinda/Salman prototype will never be able to say no to Karan. He'll be the king of Bollywood by the time he's 60 if not 50.

^ True. Varun still manages to do different stuff and not be labelled as being where he is all due to Kjo because he is David Dhawan's son who still makes films that run. Main tera Hero earlier in his carrier then Judwa outside Dharma gave him a chance not to be totally dependent and ehsanmand to Karan. Alia on the other hand is totally dependent on Karan..she has to be the beti.

Jhanvi unfortunately lost her mum,otherwise sridevi would have never let her daughter be indebted to him.

To be fair, he does invest himself in these kids too..all is not fake. Having said that, being indebted is not good. Initially saif did not want sara to debut with Dharma solely due to this reason. He wanted her to be independent. 👏

Imran Khan is an example of rebelling against Kjo. He was once his blue eyed boy. He and Manish planned his wedding and personally designed the bride and groom's outfits. Totally opposite to Deepveer..even Sonam for that matter. But he dint play the game well i guess..he blamed kjo for his flops which is wrong and Aamir did not step in either.too bad for him.

One can debut with Karan,but provided you have some backing to step away a bit later and havie some breathing space..like Varun. Being in Salman's good books kind of helped too as bhai se sab darte heun.😉
