My family cousins and friends have gone to 1 child... but i still see Muslim families having 3 kids.One got married this year and baby is already on the way...

Depression is a global epidemic now, most of them youngsters

There could be other reasons too but I think isolation and lack of human connection are primary reasons

Avoiding real human company and living their whole life with the help of Social media and TV is normal now and for most teenagers, that's the only life they know

Over population is causing poverty, unemployment, pollution, environment degradation , unhappiness, economic meltdown, depression etc.

Just to please the society or something don't have kids..!

Just for 5 years if no one reproduced then, economy will be back on track.

While reading the book Inferno, I really like that guys solution of randomly spreading the infertility virus. Yes we cannot take away choice to reproduce, but seriously.. are we in a position to give this right? Existing people are literally dying because of over population.

Also another reason for depression is Societal standards.. competition with others, Social media.
