Considering the number of suicides that took place recently, it's true. Many be there should be campaign or a club wherein people can join and share their pain and spread awareness. Not many people talk as openly to their loved ones as they talk to strangers when it comes to depression.

All this is because of Over population.

I don't understand this need to produce children. That too in this economy.

Please use a condom. Godd.

Over population is causing poverty, unemployment, pollution, environment degradation , unhappiness, economic meltdown, depression etc.

Just to please the society or something don't have kids..!

Just for 5 years if no one reproduced then, economy will be back on track.

While reading the book Inferno, I really like that guys solution of randomly spreading the infertility virus. Yes we cannot take away choice to reproduce, but seriously.. are we in a position to give this right? Existing people are literally dying because of over population.

Also another reason for depression is Societal standards.. competition with others, Social media.

That said.. The rise in the stats steadily is alarming. Life pressures, work issues, societal pressures all of these are adding to the genetic issues. Mental health should never be a taboo subject. Should be talked about more frequently to raise awareness.

I dont want this thread to take religion direction. But this is just my observation...

My family cousins and friends have gone to 1 child... but i still see Muslim families having 3 kids.One got married this year and baby is already on the way...

I can think of more than 1 hindu families in my neighbor who have more than 2 children, your point?

I shared an observation about my area not a pan-India fact or statistic about Indian Muslims.
