I agree with one thing - keep the focus on the offenders ... Don't get sidetracked by focusing on the silent ppl... First lets at least shame all the ones that have abused ppl for years...

They probably all knew things but it would be 2nd and 3rd hand accounts. It would be industry gossip but nobody can take any action based on gossip especially because some of it can be untrue.

If the victims themselves are not speaking out, what can other people do? They can't force them to speak or come out guns blazing pretending to be a crusader when the person affected is not speaking.

There's also the fact that these harassers and rapists don't do this behavior in front of other powerful people. They are smart and know when and who to hide things from.

Stop shaming people for being silent. That will make them even more reluctant to speak up. If they know the minute they speak, people will point fingers and call them hypocrites and trash them, why will they say anything? Keep the focus on the people who have done the misdeeds, not on others.
