story of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. But, it has
been taking all the limelight for the wrong
reasons.
The last development that came in light was
that major portions of the film were re-shot.
Now, the latest news is that Kangana has
turned down the offer of sharing the co-
director credit as she did this out of sheer
love for the project. Going by reports, Zee
Studios had given her an opportunity to get
a tag of the director along with the big
South filmmaker Krrish. But, she has politely
turned down the offer and has ended all the
speculations of her being the captain of the
ship.
Talking about this, a source stated,
"Kangana re-shot portions of Manikarnika
over a 45-day schedule. She did it out of her
sheer love for the subject. When the studio
asked her if she would take credit for it, she
turned down their offer saying that it was
her responsibility to ensure the film turns
out well."
The movie also marks the Bollywood debut
of Television actor Ankita Lokhande who will
be seen playing Jhalkari Bai in the movie. As
director Krish is busy with his other
projects, Kangana has taken the reign in her
hands. Now, it feels like all the things have
