He said no matter how many armies Alexander gathered he couldn't break Porus. So why did he decide to leave instead of fighting Alexander, that too when he was the one who planned this sneak attack on the Macedonians and thought Alexander wouldn't have enough time to think of a solution?

Yes, first he got Barsine in trouble by setting fire in the Farsi bazaar, pulling that stunt in the arena, taking her away from the Farsi camp in Taxila and now getting her to bring all those Farsi soldiers which became ready made assistance for Alexander. 😆
