Let me take a moment to sympathize with and justify the character called Anika Trivedi. I know most , if not all, viewers are miffed with the reaction if Anika towards the marriage than the track itself. That the old Anika would have never become a doormat and that the CVs should have just let the three love stories develop are oppinions we all agree to.
Now our Oberoi launde are stomping on their beethe hue cum aane waale kal with the exemption of Omkara Singh Oberoi, who did enough damage in the last season to last his 7 lives in the show.
Now Bhavya has become Eid ka chand, Anika a doormat and Gauri a gundi, which doesn't even suit her.
With the coming of magic and time turning, we can expect chudails and vampires like in Qubool Hai.
But leaving all that aside, coming to Anika.
Here is this girl, compelled by situation, to become responsible for a whole family. She is at the worst her life could be when Hurricane Shivaay struck and swept away her knight in Sherwaani and forcefully married her, only to deny it later and call her his rakael.
Here, to make some head and tail of why Anika begged and clung onto him, we should look at her family background. It's kinda very simple. Her mom's a rakael. She doesn't want to be one.
She is not clinging onto Shivaay.
She is clinging onto respect and legitimacy.
So let's just forgive Anika and wait for the CVs to fix up this shit.
