Blinded by Daksh, my sister's love & under some confused feelings of Love, I married her in rage and then dont know why dropped her back to her place. I needed some time to process my thoughts as to what I had just done. As the clock striked 12, I had not gone gentle into the night but with rage against the dying light. And then came my morning light, my wife stomping, closing the door of my room!
"Mr. Oberoi, now that you have married me despite of my cries since you are so in love with Daksh's words & not mine, I stand here today as Priyanka's Bhabhi to make sure that she doesnt take the wrong step of marrying that creep in her any lifetime and thereby proving myself right."
I knew I was wrong somewhere and thus let her do whatever she wanted to with silence since I had calmed my hidden thunders over the night. Family was told the truth that Anika was my wife now with no further questions to be answered. Since they already had a liking for her, it didnt take time much time for them to warm towards her.
Days & nights passed being under the same roof but the distance between us was growing more n more. She had once taken me to meet Payal so that I can face the truth. But Payal denied the truth & Anika didnt give up. She constantly kept working towards Daksh's exposure despite of the time not being with her. Somewhere I was but she despised my company. I also maintained my space in lieu to not irk her more!
Then one day while looking for my files in the cupboard I came across a ticket printout in the name of Daksh Kapoor. I tried to reminse the date me & Anika had gone to lonavla to check on him and surprisingly this was a pre booked ticket a day prior of it! Damn! he did fool us or correction fooled me into believeing that he went on my behalf to Lonavla! Dammit! I punched in the air & turned back. & there she was asking me with her doe eyes, "What happened?" I lowered my head with nothing to say. So she came closer and saw the ticket printout in my hand and asked, "So you still dont believe me right?"
"Tell me what I can do to expose Daksh with you?" I said. And her eyes lit up first time because of me, atleast I thought so.
"Now that you have atleast agreed that something is wrong we shall expose Daksh together." said she.
And we made a plan to bait Daksh with money in a press conference and slow and steady got Priyanka and Payal on our side. He fell for the plan and with nice karara thappad from all the ladies including Anika and the public insult he was handed over to the police under the charges of molestation, kidnapping and stealing.
With him handed over to the police, we all sighed for relief from Daksh. Anika held Priyanka and congratulated her for being this strong. Dadi held Anika with pride for taking and saving Prinku's life couragously against all at such a crucial point. Om n Ru mirrored their feelings of pride for Bhabhi all along, while all I did was to just stare at her from a distance.
Back in the room when my time came to congratulate for everything I saw a storm in her eyes that mirrored the rage of mine on that unfateful day that made us husband & wife. Not saying word I saw her packing. Panicked & ignoring her eyes at the moment, I asked, "kahin ja rahi ho?"
& as if she was waiting for this moment all along, "Mr. Oberoi we came together for a reason and now that the reason is over I have to go. I dont belong here. This place is for people like you who dont care for a common man's feelings, jinhe koi farak nahi padta ki hum sach bole ya jhooth kyunki aapne toh hamare baare mein opinion toh pehle se hi bana rakha hai. toh aapka attitude aur gussa aap hi ko mubarak ho. Main ja rahi hun,pne ghar jahan I have responsibilties to fulfill and take care of my loved ones. Good bye and Good luck."
As she walked away with every step my heart let her go only to be get her back with all my love, "I hated waiting but if waiting means being able to be with you, I will wait as long as forever to be with you."
