why Bollywood Male Stars refuse to audition for Hollywood Films?

Americans and honestly a lot of Indian Americans think BW is terrible. I am kind of embarrassed to admit I like it around most people. To their eyes the overacting is egregious, songs are forced in and pointless, plots are mishmash of stolen stories or a story they've heard a million times. For Non Indian Americans I think they also miss a lot of cultural stuff they just don't get and lots of films have terrible subtitles. I don't disagree ... so it's hard to explain why I watch. The films still have a kind of charm to me I have trouble explaining.

I genuinely believe most popular Indian actors know very little about acting. How many of them can you imagine doing a play, staying in character for hours at a time? Also most are used to running the show. There are only a couple I can imagine being able to work with a Western director and not getting fired - that is of course assuming they could get the gig in the first place. It's better they stay in Mumbai where they are treated as if they are perfect.

Right now I am binge watching Chinese best shows and movies. I just live their historical and period dramas, even fictionalize they still stay true to their history and do not whitewash their emperors.

Worldwide cinema my ranking that is my opinion is the ones that I see.

1. China

2. Korean for their thrillers

3. Thai/ Japan for their horror movies.

4. Hollywood.

5. Bollywood.

Hollywood musicals are different from BW, as the actors they take actually can sing. Very few get dubbed from other singers. Yes the songs are mostly situational.

There use to be a charm to BW before but I hardly see any movies from BW unless and until get good reviews .

Because their egos are too big. The actresses can handle starting over or starting out small. They understand they are not going to be treated the same outside. The actors are comfortable in their own kingdom. They fine ruling here. Same goes for some actresses.

If an actor or actress says they are not interested in Hollywood they are nothing but liars. Yeah who would want global fame and better projects...only insane people.
