@TheRager: yes the trend looked super, I was like this might be the biggest hit of Hindi film industry. BOI does tend to hype Ranbir as contrary to the popular believe that BOI favours Tiger and Varun, their actual favorite is Ranbir. It is him not doing their kind of cinema which hurts them😆, like a bitter ex.

The trend wasn't anywhere near Dangal. Since Tuesday it had been way behind Dangal. It's somewhat following TZH trajectory.

Agree, also Dangal had universal acceptance apart from a very nano scopic numbers of feminists opposing its theme of patriarchy.



Sanju while everyone liked the movie, their was a polarising debate about its moral stand.

BOI does this all the time.

You'd expect a trade site or analyst to be conservative and analytical, but those folks - and most trade analysts in Bollywood - act like little fanboys and go ga-ga every time a movie they like or a movie of their fav star does well.

It's hilarious how those BOI people were insinuating that Sanju would challenge Bahubali 2 after the first two days. 😛

I think Bajrangi's net collection (315) is still achievable and it has to be said that 300 crore business by Sanju is simply phenomenal.

I don't think it has the legs to reach the collections of TZH. TZH had a strong hold from Week 3 - Week 6. And only Bahubali, Dangal, PK, and Bajrangi have collected more in the second week.
