Vikram is in his office. He is going mad. He asks what and why is it happening to him. He pushes the files off his table in rage. He asks what wrong has he done by falling in love that he is getting such a big punishment. He questions why his love is being weighted against his father's enimity. Why Why? and he pushes more stuff off another table. He looks up and questions God why he doesn't do justice to everyone. Vikram says he cannot live without Vrinda and he swears to make Vrinda his even if he has to fight the whole world. Neither his father's enemity nor Kashinath's darbar can stop him. He will even fight God to get Vrinda. He challenges God.
Kashinath is getting ready to go to temple he calls for Sharada to bring his thali. But Vrinda gives it to him instead. He refuses to take it. He gets up to go. Vrinda pleads with him by saying that she can go to the temple with him she is not that wayward. Vrinda's mobile rings. She puts the thali down and rejects the call and places her mobile on the shelf. By the time she turns around to get the thali, Kashinath has the thali in his hands and was ready to go. Sharada comes. Vrinda tells Kashinath to listen to her, that she has not done any sin, why he is not talking to her. She asks Kashinath to meet her eyes but he walks away. Broken hearted, Vrinda goes upstairs. Taiji was just coming down and she says what colours has amma and bauji's love brought, its not time for the daughter to leave the house but time to pack her things has come. She claims she has to tolerate a lot of disrepect. It has become difficult to go out of the house. She asks what will people say when they hear. Sharada answers her back saying outsiders will talk only when they give them permission. But if someone from the house airs dirty linen in public then why blame the public. otherwise till now no one has the guts to talk about Kashinath on his face.
Taiji warns them that although Vrinda has insulted Vikram in front of everyone but this is the flame of love, it will remain burning as ambers and will never die out.
Vrinda's phone rings. Sharada wants to go call Vrinda but Kashinath stops her and he picks up her phone instead. Its Vikram. he is pleading with Vrinda. He wants to meet her just once to clear the misunderstanding between them. He begs her. Kashinath hangs up. Kashinath recalls Taiji's words of the love burning in the ambers.
Vikram reaches home. Banu has a thali ready to welcome him. He asks Vikram how to welcome him, put tilak or do aarti or announce to the entire Benaras that his son has returned. Banu throws flowers on him. Vikram asks his father to stop and not to do drama.
Banu is sarcastic to him. Calls him collector saab. Banu scolds Vikram for going to Pandey house because of whom he spent 14 years in jail. Banu throws the thali on the floor. Maya comes and is hysterical about the abshagun. Banu tells her that abshagun/ shagun only happens when there is some hope or dream left. But Vikram has broken all his dreams. Vikram asks his father which dreams? Vikram tells his father that if Banu's dreams comes in the way of his dreams then he will stop Banu. Banu stares at him angrily. Vikram goes on to say that he won't allow any strength to come in between him and Vrinda, no even his father. Banu raises in hand in anger and is about to slap Vikram. But stops. Vikram leaves. Banu scolds Maya saying her son turned his back on his father who gave him life. Maya answers back saying not life, we have only given birth to him. Maya tells him that Vikram has not discarded him but discarded the age old enemity .
Kashinath is on the phone. He is making arrangements. Sharada comes. He tells her to go and live in Ilahbad with Rashi and Vrinda and to make sure the collector saab doesn't come close. Only they should know where Vrinda is. Vrinda is listening from outside the door.
At the hospital, Sharada and Vrinda go to meet Raasshi but she is just lying there on the bed open eyes.
Vrinda asks Sharada if Rashi had been in Vrinda's place would Kashinath have been just as upset?
Sharada says that if Rashi had done it, Kashinath might have forgiven her but because Vrinda is adopted and if he is lenient then people might point fingers and say because she is an outsider, he cared less for her. She tells Vrinda that they have a relationship of the heart between them which is nourished with love and trust. She tells her that everyone can see the hard face dehdahji but no one sees the soft hearted father that is hidden within. Sharada advises her to try and understand her father if possible.
Sharada and Vrinda are cooking in the kitchen. Sharada is lost in her thoughts and accidentally cuts her finger. Vrinda wraps it for her and says she will cook because she is not that bad that Sharada will not like to eat cooked by her.
At the table, Sharada is worried about Kashinath and his meals and doesn't feel like eating . Vrinda insists she eats and feed her.
At the temple, Sanya is doing lingam abhishek. Shankar is there but he get a call and goes away. Sanya prays for the family's happiness and for Vrinda to get her share of happiness. As she turns to leave she sees Vikram. He is dressed in a light turqoise shirt, white jacket and black pants. He tells her to please help him meet with Vrinda just once. He is certain that he will be able to help her realize the value of their love. He tells her he is only concerned about Vrinda. Vikram tells her to believe him when he says he didn't know about the enemity between their two families. He says joining with Vrinda is his destiny. Sanya tells him that Vrinda is out of town and only Kashinath and Sharada know where she is.
Shankar calls Sanya. She leaves.
Vikram wonders where Vrinda has gone leaving him alone at a moment like this, and where he will find her.
