Ranbir and Ranveer - Far From Superstardom

I know everyone thinks these two are the front runners to be super stars - truth is that they have a longgg way to go!

It's not about how big of a hit you deliver. It's all about CONSISTENCY and the ability to maintain and hold your position. This is something no one after Hrithik has seem to be able to do. (Even he has struggled too though)

Ranbirs future films don't look like his going to maintain himself. So before everyone says "Ranbir is Back - the real question should be why did he leave lol


Same with Ranveer. I said this in the Gully Boy topic. His upcoming films with the exception of that biopic don't seem that great.

Kapil Dev biopic will give him a big opener ... just like Sanjay Dutt gave Ranbir a big opener and how Dhoni gave Sushant a big opener ? See the pattern ?

People said the same about Sanju that it will flop..when the trailer and first song came out all bashed it and look how is the film doing.Not saying that he's a superstar and all..its just that you cannot predict the fate of a movie when u haven't even seen its teaser.I do feel his upcoming movies will fare decent.Brahmastra might do wonders on the ticket counter.
Same goes for Ranveer Gully boy and Kapil biopic will def be a hit.
As for superstar status that tag requires time.

Firstly I think the era of the superstars is over. I can't see the same hype again that SRK or Salman have created.

Completely agree... Ranveer and Ranbir still has a little long way to go but they are future super stars.

the guy was on a flop spree post his debut till his dad produced kmg for him..even with that he never had consistency..there will always be flops and disasters in between..

but if we can call him one..ranbir surely qualifies to be called one too..if consistency is the key..then that also makes HR no superstar..since he was never consistent..neither aish

The difference is that with Hrithik those flops didn't hamper his stardom like it did with Ranbir. we're not talking about "acting here. Hrithik was a super star on arrival - not because of acting or box office but just cuz he's a star. And he still is.

I agree, despite being a RS fan I agree that he has a long way to go... same with any of the other actors... they need at least 5-10 years of more hard work n consistency before they can lay claim to superstardom

By the way I see this happening a lot. On insta/youtube there'll be a picture/video of Ranbir and someone will leave a comment saying 'Ranveer...' and vice versa. Both of them say people who see them call them by the other's name. So both of them have a lot of work to do if they wanna achieve even a portion of what their predecessors have.

Dads had their own superstars during their period. We will have our own. They shouldn't be deciding superstars for us in our times. Stardom or achievements of newer lot cant be faulted if dads cant recognize faces and names of some of current stars. it's probably due to lack of interest in movies or memory failing them due to old age. Sorry if I come across rude to dads. But they dont always k ow what's best for us.
