People said Khans wouldn't be superstars either and that Amitabh was the last one. It's just wishful thinking. As times change, the meaning of superstardom also changes.

Ranveer needs to first prove himself outside of DP-SLB.

Ranbir needs to be more consistent, but there's no doubt that when he delivers...he blows all his contemporaries out of the water. YJHD, Barfi, or now Sanju.

I disagree with those people who say "The era of Superstars" are gone. Thats not true. Look at Hollywood, lots of "current" celebrities enjoy superstardom. Like Beyonce for example. The concept is not gone because of social media - curiosity is gone yes...but there are still superstars out there.

We just dont have anyone who is WORTHY of being a superstar right now 😆 Ranbir and Ranveer are great...but they're not superstar material to begin with. Varun/Arjun are meh too, they dont have the aura. Sushant/Sid and Anand's Raju's are all pretty much decoration.

And dont even get me started on the current crop of girls 😆

Even if these young stars films earn 1000 crores...that still wont matter 😆 Besides, every year collections will go up now...its called economical growth and inflation. SO just because it made more money than movies 10 years ago - it really means nothing😆 Isnt HNY number one right now and wasnt Abhishek unemployed after that?...Even Deepika is unemployed now 😆 SRK will be too. I guess that New Year wasnt so happy now was it 😆

A superstar is one who can deliver a hit on their name alone. ie, in spite of the movie being average/bad.

SRK and SK have done that when their superstardom was at peak. AK almost consistently works with good script, so hard to tell. Also, Madhuri.

Both RS and RK have long ways to go. Of the 2, I think RS has the better lineup. We shall see.

I hope the era of superstardom is over with the Khans. The tag of Superstar makes an actor lazy and boring. They get trapped in their own image. Look at Salman and SRK or Amitabh in the 80s doing similar kind of films over and over (except SRK in the early 90s) becoz their fans want to see them in certain roles. And after a certain period of time people get bored.

In absence of superstardom the relatively youngers actors will not take the audience for granted like their predecessors and will be on their toes.

The khans will not be at the top forever . Its upto them to decide whether they want to sink into oblivion like Rajesh Khanna or transition like Amitabh
