Yesterday Ira should have been visibly more disturbed after signing the divorce papers. They should have shown Ira more heartbroken and sad. I think some alone scene of Ira was required before the billi ka palna.
Seeing Ira yesterday it is clear that Ira yet not started thinking anything about Akhilesh, she has all the natural feelings (caring, bonding, belonging, friendship) that any one would have if they stay together for this long, also she respects Akhilesh a lot for the man he is, she loves Pushpa.

May be Ballav pushing Ira to a point from where Ira will start thinking at least about the future. By this week ends expecting one Akhira scene where stormy sobbing upset egoistic Ira will make Akhilesh falls for her more. Hanuman Jayanti gift may be to his beloved couple. 😉

I haven't got a chance to see today's (Tuesday) episode...will see it tomorrow. But as for yesterday's episode, it was utterly ridiculous how they showed the signing of divorce papers. 🥱Akhilesh was duped by Sasur ji..that part is believable, though not very logical. Akhilesh is sometimes shown as quite intelligent and with great presence of mind. But at some instances he is shown as outright foolish. Chalo maan liya, he has so much respect for Vallabh that he signs any paper blindly.😕

But Ira...just a moment back she was so happy with Akhilesh, hugging him tightly. How can she just believe that he can sign divorce papers without even talking to her about that. And at least SHE can talk to him before signing. Kuch Nahi toh jhagda hi Kar leti...but baat toh Karti.

But after this misunderstanding is sorted out, I think now Ira will finally realise what Akhilesh means to her. Till now she is always confused regarding her feelings. In fact, from their marriage till the Neerja incident, it was Ira who was more attracted towards Akhilesh and he himself was reticent. But after that the equations changed. Akhilesh started melting and feeling the warmth of his affection for Ira growing. But why is Ira's previous attraction and feelings becoming colder ? She is becoming more and more distant.
Hope this track clears the confusion in Ira's mind and also Vallabh Desai's as to who is the best husband for Ira.

I think Akhilesh's character is being developed the best. When he found out about the dowry and Ira requesting for money in exchange for the favour she's done Akhilesh, he wasn't ready to believe it at all. He wanted to talk to Ira to clear everything and he actually said that Ira Ji doesn't care for all that. But of course he can't not trust her father either. Whose own father would lie about their daughter? (Vallabh apparently) but that's probably Akhilesh's mindset.

Ira, on the other hand didn't even question the divorce papers or didn't even discuss it with Akhilesh once. I get it's for the plot and they need to show drama but in expense for their characters losing their attributes and doing things out of character? I don't think so.

Really hope Ira redeems herself in the upcoming episodes.

Actually Akhira is trying to talk but because of Ballav's close watch they are not able to. Like Ballav entered at the right time and stops Akhilesh from showing Ira the video or messages. But in fact Ballav's plan is also very lame, he can definitely stop Akhilesh from talking to Ira but how can he stop Akhilesh from talking to his mothers, hope today they shows that Ballav has a plan for this too. Anyway hopefully what Ballav did will let Akhilesh win 10 lakhs rupees and Akhira more closer to each other once Ira will feel the mental & physical pain of Akhilesh after the pull truck competition.
My only concern is that they should have shown Ira's inner turmoil about the strange things happening all of a sudden with their relationship. Otherwise it portrays Ira like a girl with has no deep thinking and living the life in the moment attitude.

When she hugs Akhilesh visibly she feels good about it, if Akhilesh approaches for a kiss she is very willingly submissive and also she is protective and possessive about Akku, she loves being around of Pushpa but all of a sudden a signed divorce paper in her hand and she signed it almost with no expression, that's not acceptable. Its like she is happy with Akhilesh and also equally happy without him.

But I am eagerly waiting for the scene when Akhira will converse alone after the truck fiasco. Hum bewafa hargiz na the ...

I whole-heartedly agree with Inka that now the drama in their lives has taken center-stage at the expense of their characters.
Earlier, the main attraction of MHB was the wonderful characterizations of the protagonists Ira and Akhilesh as well as Pushpa and Devina. Both these pairs are poles apart and yet bound by invisible bonds of love, trust and friendship. As for Pushpa and Devina, they share a common fate and common predicament, which brings them together. The beauty of MHB was in the variations and ups and downs of these relationships.

In fact, the most well-scripted character was that of Ira. While Akhilesh is straightforward and like an open book, Ira is layered. She is ambitious, yet honest...she is a modern feminist on one hand and yet deep down she fits herself perfectly in the role of a traditional wife and daughter-in-law. She is always the first to stand up against injustice; be it against Bhoomi or Gulki or even Akhilesh (when he was treated as mad)..
but she marries Akhilesh to save herself from the repurcussions of her callous Vasectomy act for which she could have got heavy penalty.

But now, with the introduction of new twists and turns, Ira's character is falling flat. It is as if the makers don't know how to handle and progress such a complex character in such complex situations. She is being shown totally bereft of any deep thinking or introspection. In fact there are hardly any scenes that show her thinking or being alone...the last being when she was fixing a match of Akhilesh and Chutki and her tears would not stop.

I really hope, the makers bring back the old character of MHB instead of just packing in unnecessary twists and turns.

Absolutely. Agree with both your views. They really need to sort out Ira's character.

Can't wait for the confrontation and when they actually find out that all this is just a misunderstanding...

I am yet to watch the episodes but from reading the posts it is clear that they are rushing the storyline and in the process losing their grip on characters, specially Ira's character. Ira already knows that Akhilesh was about to propose by the poolside but strangely forgets all that. CVs need to do a better job than running Toofan Express.

Eagerly waiting for this confrontation and how they sort out this misunderstanding. Perfect pitch for some high-voltage emotional scenes... exactly what we want.
