One good thing to have come out of Arjun and Anshula being raised by their mom and later supported by their maternal grandma and aunt is that they seem to have a good sense of protecting and nurturing their finances. He can yap all he wants about loving his dad and his dad being some revolutionary producer of his time, but he knows his dad was/is shitty with money.

I wonder if them "uniting" is solely an emotional decision. (I don't mean the shifting houses (if it happens), but just connecting.) .

The Kapoor family has never had any powerful "influence" in the industry. Anil Kapoor has been the star from their family, but even at his peak he never had the stardom or clout of the Khans. They are popular because they have a reputation of being this friendly, close-knit family who are warm and gracious hosts. Anil Kapoor is a success story who built this huge bungalow that people are always visiting for the food if not the people.

Arjun is blah but he, Sonam and Rhea are the most successful from his family in their generation (whatever that is worth..). Harsh and Mohit are struggling.

Seeing how Anil, Sonam and Rhea have finally hit the jackpot with VDW, Arjun and Janhvi (or maybe just Arjun or Arjun and Boney), may have the thought at the back of their mind that they would do better if united.

I feel once Arjun's career completely loses steam, he will turn director/producer and collaborate with his family members after seeing some success.

This family has a better chance of sustaining its "clout" in future a lot more than the Bacchans or Salman's family - because there are so many people filling in different roles - Janhvi, Arjun, Sonam (who wants to direct), Rhea (producer), Karan Boolani (who will definitely end up getting a film to direct thanks to Rhea) and so on. Anshula might end up running the studio her mom and aunt set up in Mumbai. The Marwahs have their studio in Delhi. They have a great network of close friends - who are rich and successful in different fields (stylists, restaurant owners and so on) - Or well, married into rich families (like an Antara Motiwala).

Most importantly, they are all independent - or atleast "independently dependent" - Like Mohit on his dad (maybe) and Harsh on his. Unlike Salman's family, who will all crash and burn if not for him.
