Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju in trouble, complaint filed with CBFC for toilet scene

The trailer of Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju left viewers spellbound. From Ranbir Kapoor's incredible transformation to Sanjay Dutt's controversial life, the three-minute video kept the audience hooked from start to finish.

However, activist Prithvi Mhaske is not too happy with the "toilet leakage scene in the barrack of jail picturised in the movie" as it gives a "bad impression about the jails and jails authorities of the Indians (sic)".

In the trailer, Ranbir, clad in a prison uniform, is seen calling the jail authorities for help when the toilet in his cell starts overflowing with faeces.

Mhaske has objected to this particular scene and filed a complaint against the film with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

His letter addressed to CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi, the makers of Sanju and Ranbir Kapoor reads, "As per the information available the government and jail authorities are taking a very well care of all the barracks of the jails. We never heard any such incidents anywhere. Earlier as well many movies were released based on the gangsters where in the jails were covered but never had seen such incidents. (sic)"

"If there is no action about the same by you then we are left with no option to approach honourable court to put stay on the release of the movie (sic)," Mhaske threatened legal action against the film.

Sanju, which also features Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles, hits the screens on June 29, a month before Sanjay Dutt's 59th birthday.

They shouldn't have kept such scenes. Not sure how family audience will bear such scenes.
