Chapter 1
Shweta was waiting at the door of her house with a aarti ki thali ready to welcome her daughter in law and grandson. Just then a white SUV stopped bringing smile on everyone face. Avni and Mowgli were welcomed back in their home.
After the aarti, mowgli went to him room to get ready, while Avni was gifted a bridal dress which Shweta had worn on her own wedding. After an hour, Avni was ready accompanied by brides maid Mitali. Neil was proud of her today, the sacrifice she gave will eventually bring happiness in all three lives. Avni was wearing a peach lehnga adorned with kundan jwellery. It was hard for Neil to take his eyes off from her. But Papa had to say "beta teri hi biwi hai, aise kya ghoor raha hai usko".
Neil couldn't stop blushing. Finally their proper wedding was happening. He offered his hand to Avni while she was about to start her new journey as Avni Neil Khanna. The pandit started with the mantra chants, while AvNeil remembered their old moments, how they met at beach, it all started with hatered then accidental engagement at jwellery shop,then how that shagun duptta fell over both of them, then their marriage to freindship to being soulmates with the promise to be with each other as on their first night. Shweta tied the gadbandhan and the pheras started.
Mowgli was happy to see the wedding, when his Dadu said " beta tu bahut lucky hai jo apne maa baap ki shaadi apni aankho se dekh raha hai". Mowgli smiled and affirmed in response.
Pandit asked Shweta to bring mangalsutra and sindoor, she brought the thali and gave it to him. Prakash asked them to stop for a minute.He went to lord ganesha idol, to bring that mangalsutra broken by Avni. He gave it back to Neil and said "jo cheez meri bahu ki hai, woh usse koi nahi le sakta"
As Neil smiled and put the same mangalsutra on Avni neck, a tear fell on his palm, just like the last time during their wedding.But this time he knew it was happy tears. He filled Avni's mang with sindoor.
The newly wedded couple was congratulated by freinds and family. Prakash went to thank god for again bringing happiness in their life.
It was already 5 am before everyone left. Avni went to sleep with Mowgli as he was more comfortable with his mother. While all others went to their respective rooms.
Next morning Avni was ready in red saree which Neil gifted her, while Shweta asked her to hit the kalash filled with rice. Prakash played the song " haule haule tu kadam bada meri jaan, itna yun bhi naa dar tere sand mein haan...chal meri jaan" as Neil holded her hands while she left red imprints on the house floor.
Avni gave a puzzled look to Prakash,when he said "betaji jab tum yahan nahi thi naa 10 saal toh maine tumhare papa ke room mein jake , tumse related har choti choti cheez jane ki koshish ki, yeh sochke ki kash tum hoti toh mein meri beti ko kaise khush rakhta. I know yeh tumhara aur tumhare papa ka favourite gana tha right"
Avni couldn't hold her tears, the fathers love which she had missed since childhood was showered on her .As tears rolled down from her eyes, she said "Thank you Papaji"
Shweta asked Avni to prepare her pehli rasoi. A smile broke on Neil face when he remembered the old days when he used the food prepared by her for interrogation. How far they both have came and it was time to start their life afresh.
Without asking Avni prepared everything. Neil was still wondering if she knows now to cook or not. But yes the time had changed, the chole,puri,halwa all was layed on dining table. As he put the first morsel in his mouth, a feeling of contentment ran through him. That from now he will not have to eat outside food while going office.
When Shweta asked "Avni , kyunki aaj tum dono ki suhagrat hai,toh batao kaunse phool pasand hai tumhe roses or jasmine, I will decorate Neil room as per your wish"
Avni was shivering,completely confused what was supposed to happen tonight '10 years of frustration 'she murmred and then she said "white, white mummy ji' as she left the place,but her fearful expression didnt go unnoticed by Neil Khanna,who was ready to give it back to lady don the punishment of 10 years keeping him away from her.
