Avni opened her suitcase, thinking what to wear for her pag phere. In the last 10 years, her wardrobe had completely changed to western dresses.

Neil saw all this and straight away went to bebe's room, to bring something. Avni opened the box, it had a blue saree. He said "Avni you know is ghar ka har ek member tumse kitna pyar karta hai. Bebe ne tumhari sari sarees chupake rakhi thi, taki mujhe tumhari yaad naa aaye,aur woh khud move on nahi kar paa rahi thi"

Avni knew the amount of pain she had given to this family due to her actions was not forgive able. Hence her only motive at present was to bring back the happiness in this family which was lost long time ago.

Honouring,Neil's wish she wore the blue saree, the red bangles and mangalsutra. While hubby dear was observing his wife in mirror reflection so as not to disturb her while she got ready. His mind just said beautiful, when she turned up to say "Neil, lets go"

Neil stopped her and put kala teeka behind her ear to say " kya kare zamana bahut kharab hai,kahi meri khoobsurat wifey ko kisi ki nazar lag gayi toh"

Breaking their eye lock, Shweta entered the room to say "Avni puttar tu lag to badi sundar hai. Par where is sindoor. Oye tillu le ye dabbi aur bhar de apni votti ki maang"

Neil hesitated initally, but he had to take the box from her mother. And turned back to Avni. Just then, Shweta received a call on her mobile and he signalled Avni to fill her maang,which she did.

As she left the room, Neil said "Avni kya cheez meri hai aur kya nahi yeh mein ache se janta hoon. Mujhe pata hai in 10 saalon mein kafi kuch badal gaya hai, woh mein hi tha jisne tumhare maang mein use bhara bhi tha,aur vidyut se bachane ke liye hataya bhi tha. Aur meri family ko bacahne ke liye tumhe apna sab kuch kho diya jisme yeh sindoor bhi tha. I will never enforce myself on you. Ab jab tak tum mujhe dil se apna pati nahi maan leti. Mein tumhari maang nahi bharunga"

Avni heard his words carefully and a proud smile ran through her face.

As they sat in the car, Neil asked her to fasten the seat belt before the left for Sukoon house. Avni started the FM radio which accidentaly played the song "yeh moh moh ke dhaage ". As the lyrics came "tu hoga zara pagal, tune mujhko hai chuna,kaise yeh tune unkaha sach suna". She smiled thinking even without saying a word how much Neil understood her, he was ready to give her that time and space needed to absorb him in her life.

They arrived at Sukoon house, when Sunheri did the aarti, of the new damad with nak kichna rasam. Tara Sitara,served them with kheer and left the house for some work. While Neil also excused himself after having some kheer for some court related work.

Avni was alone, when Sunheri asked "Avni tu wahan khush toh hai naa. Joo tujhe chaiye tha, teri perfect family ab woh mowgli ko, aur tujhe mil gayi hai naa"

Avni nodded and replied " haan sunheri, mujhe woh mil gayi, par jo 10 saal ke ghaav the naa woh itni jaldi thik nahi honge. Mujhe adjust hone mein time toh lagega. Maine jis pehchan ko 10 saal pehle chod diya tha, ab wahi meri nahi pehchan hai,jise mujhe accept karna hoga. Chal par chod naa in baaton ko. Yahan par sab kaisa chal raha hai".

Sunheri answered" tu yahan ki chinta mat kar. Tujhe pata,mujhe as a dance teacher job mili hai, aur tara sitara ne bhi tutions lena start kar diya hai. Aur shaam ko hum log activity classes bhi lete hai bachon ki. Toh ab financially koi problem nahi hai".

Avni was very happy to hear all this, and said " aur in sab mein tumhari madad kisne ki". She replied "Neil ke papa ne"

Avni couldn't understand why papaji was doing all this. Just then mowgli came back from his school bus with daisy,pinky. Soon Samrat too joined them after his college day ended.

They enjoyed their evening, playing games, chit chat. Neil also arrived to pick them up. Mowgli said "papa apne jaisa kaha tha maine waisa hi kiya. Maine mumma pe nazar rakhi thi ki woh kahi bhaag na jaye"

Neil replied "good job mogli" as he handed him few choclates to be given to everyone in Sukoon ghar.

Avni was miffed and she took Neil to a lonely corner to ask " yeh sab kya hai Neil, tumne mowgli ko kyun kahan nazar rakhne ke liye".

He retorted " woh isliye wifey ki tumne humari suhagraat toh kharab kar di. Aur subah humara beta aake puch raha tha Papa meri baby sister kab aayegi. Mujhe darr tha ki tum kanhi bhaag na jao,phirse first night ka naam sun ke,isliye maine mowgli ko tum pe nazar rakhne ko kaha tha"

A goodbye was done and all three arrived at Khanna house.Avni went into search for Prakash,but he was nowhere to be found

She asked Shweta"Mummy ji ,woh papa ji kahan hai,mujhe unse kuch kaam tha"

Shweta replied "kaam se yaad aaya ki asjkal unko bahut kasm hai, ek mahine bad retire hone wale hai.ab neil toh unka kaam sambhalne se raha,toh dusron ko kaam samjhana padega naa phir"

Avni herself thought who will handle khanna industries, if Neil is not interested,someone from family needs to take ownership now.

Your idea of suhagrat was such a ride down memory lane . Same set up , same reaction , same feeling and same turmeric milk . Surprise was Avni forgot he hates milk ! Similar blue saree , similar scene before pag phera. 😳 And again Neil proves to be the same gentleman where he is gonna wait till Avni accepts him wholeheartedly.

A request ! Bring more Neil and Mowgli scenes . Want to see their bond .😃 Neil asking Mowgli to keep eyes on his mother so that she doesn't run away was so cute for words .

First of all I would like to say that the story is beautiful. Please keep writing. Loved the way Neil is supporting her and at the same time flirting. Avni's inhibitions are also valid as she was away from everyone from the past 10 years and these are common issues. And to answer your question, I would like to read more about AvNeil. Show tho khatham hogaya.. Kam see Kam yaha tho AvNeil dedo :D

Chapter 4

Prakash could gauge what she wanted to know ,so he replied "Avni puttar,yeh sab maine isliye kiya,because I want to see them working. Women empowerment. Ab wahan koi problem nahi hogi,tabhi toh tum yahan apne sapne pe dhyan de paogi. Nahi samjhi...mera ek freind hai, Dixit he is a director. I want you to work under him as a assistant director for his next short film,jiska kaam tum honeymoon se aajao phir start kar denge"

She heard and couldn't believe his words director, yes that was her long lost dream . Now it was coming in front of her as a offer and how could she decline, but her new phase of life had just started. She said "thank you, Papa ji", while taking his blessings.

Avni went to her room, seeing all her sarees scattered all over the bed , while Neil was working on his laptop acting ignorant as if nothing has happened. She asked "Neil yeh sab kya hai , tumne mere saare kapde bahar kyun nikale cupboard se. Tum ache se jaante ho ki yeh mera bhi room hai toh ab se hume cupboard share karni padegi right?". Neil responded "Yeah that's right, matlab 50% tumahra hissa aur 50% mera, but yahan toh 80% tumhara hai . mein apne kapde kahan rahkunga bolo".

Avni angrily replied " Neil tumhari pehli baar shaadi hui hai kya, jaante nahi shaadi ke baad 80% cuboard or bed pe hissa wife ka hota hai aur 20 % husband ka " . As she tried to remove again the belonging of Neil to create space for her saares, a box fell from her hand. Inquisitively she opened it to find all the education certificate of Neil, surprisingly there was one MBA from London Business School. She asked "Neil yeh tumne London business school se MBA kab kiya, what I know after my fake death you became an RJ "

Neil answered " Haan mein RJ bana, par jab mujhe tumhari death ke bare mein pata chala , I was completely broken. Slowly I went into depression. Mein kissi se baat nahi karta tha, police force se resign kar chukka tha. There was no motivation in my life ki aage kya karna hai. Aur agar mein yahan rehta toh roz is kamre mein aake tumhari yaad aati thi, chahe kitha bhi koshish karun, tumse dur nahi jaa par raha tha. Isliye mom dad ne mujhe London bheja MBA ke liye, yeh soch ke ki dur rahunga toh aage bad paunga. Par jab yahan wapas aaya toh tumhari yaadein phir saath thi, isliye apna dard baatne ke liye koi dost dhundta tha, Ali toh tha nahi yahan , toh maine RJ banane ki sochi. Socha ki kuch anjaan logo se hi apna dard baat lun, isse mera mann bhi halka hojayega, aur meri family ko lagega ki maine move on kar liya . simple"

His words had a deep effect on Avni, she stood still like a statue as if lamenting on what effect her actions had on Neil. Neil broke the silence " Avni hume passport office jana hai , tumhare passport ressiue ke liye, ab tumne apne saare id proof jala diye , toh phirse sab kuch start karna hoga. I have made our marriage certificate and affidiavit of fake death certificate , and now passport. Finally tum officialy zinda ho". Avni was still lost in her deep thoughts motionless, drop of sweat on her face.

Neil moved towards her breaking her stance, she moved another step backwards. As she moved, he moved forward, trying to hit the table, he holded her safely from her waist. He wiped the sweat from her forhead and looking deep into her eyes " kya soch rahi ho tum, mein kabse tumhe ready hone ke liye bol raha hoon. Hume passport office jana hai "

He could see pain deep down inside her dark black eyes, which she always wanted to hide from others. As he released her from his hold, she started combing her wet hair and pinning her red saree. Meanwhile, Neil hid the mangalsutra on the bed, Avni got up from dressing table saying "Chale", and he responded "Haan chalo. Then she realized something missing adding "Neil ek minute ruko" . She searched the mangalsutra on the bed and went near to mirror to put in, making Neil realize that she still loves me.

They went to passport office , followed by a trip to Mowgli' s school for parents teacher meet. On the way Avni asked "Neil yeh passport kyun, hum kanhi ghumne jaa rahe hai kya, kahin bahar". He replied " Haan hum honeymoon pe jaa rahe hai. She asked "Kahan jaa rahe hai, Bali???". He wanted to tease her so he said " Bali nahi Borivali. Ab tum jaise jungle ladki ke saath Sajnay Gandhi national park ke jungle mein hi honeymoon banana padega naa, bali toh mein mitali ke saath jaana chahta tha".
