😆😆
This person's insta picture or snapchat totally cleared things up.

Joke not from a drama,
others found it morbid,
still had good time listening to it,
feel guilty later as it was insensitive,
yet for the sake of showing off their good times with celebs they shared it to the whole world.

Thanks

I can see Kanagana do this but Jim? Woooww. Idk why I even expect basical social conscience from celebs, somehow Jim seemed different!

Highly disappointed.

I know I'll be bashed for this, but have people never heard of black comedy or dark humour? Black Comedy is making fun of senstive topics like Death, murder, racism, sexism, terrorism and rape also comes in it. Of course, anyone is free to find it offensive, but people who make, enjoy or laugh at dark humour don't necessarily support those things in reality too. People also make jokes about death and old age, because it is acceptable in our society. Rape jokes are not acceptable because of the current scenario of our country. That doesn't mean people who laugh at rape jokes are not feminists or actually support rape.

Now I don't want anyone to jump on me telling me how Kangu is a psycho, hypocrite or a fake feminist. This is not about actors. My problem is with people bringing feminism into this topic.

I think comedy as a genre is not that easy to understand. I know plenty who think AIB did wrong by posting a pic of Modi Ji with snapchat's dog filter. This is one of the reasons I avoid topics like these on the forum. I'd be honest I detest Kangana, there is a possibility that I might never be absolutely unbiased when passing an opinion on her but here the outrage is more coz it is Kangana. Like most didn't even notice that it was Jim who actually cracked that joke. Now do I like the joke? Frankly, No. I don't even understand it. I personally hate it when people normalise the word rape by saying stuff like- Raping the play button or sth like Salman's comment but I would be honest I have laughed on plenty dark jokes myself. There is a guy called Neville Shah who tried some of it a year after his mom died based on all of that he experienced. Probably normalizing it helped him. There is someone called Sourav Ghosh who is known for his dark humor. He reads up about different kind of murderers and makes jokes on them and I bet ya, some of his acts are hilarious. Obviously, he got a lot of threats too. I personally don't know if it is right or wrong but I just feel there is an audience for everything and nobody should be dissed just for laughing.

I agree completely. Comedy is a genre simply about making fun of someone and something. Black Comedy makes fun of tragic events. Whether it's good or bad, it completely depends on the audience. Jim made that joke in the party, his audience lapped it up, and laughed at it. All was fine. But they shouldn't have made and shared a video of that. Because there will be people who will find it offensive, and they have a right to do so. Dark comedy is strictly for adults, and children shouldn't hear it. Now the video is on YouTube and everyone can see it. My only problem with people here is that don't judge their character just because they find rape jokes funny, and please...don't bring feminism into this. It has literally nothing to do with it. This is not only about Kangana, but Jim, Huma, Deepika, Ranveer and all the AIB guys. We all are flawed humans, so let's not act like we are perfect by trying to be politically correct everytime.
