oh there is... a nice papaji at her side to carefully give 14 out of 17 films in her career... and other 3 from "heavy recommendation" to peers.

The other "likes of" had to truly try their luck out with various rookies to see "woman centric" success like ALR, Vikas Bahl, Sujoy Ghosh, Abhishek Chaubey, Rajkumar Gupta etc.

So KJo can chill and let Alia enjoy her success.

Be it Nargis or Madhubala or Hema or Sri or Madhuri or the newer stars, we have always had women centric films which the audience has rejoiced throughout the years. The only difference is earlier it would be limited to just one or two actresses while these days, almost every actress big or small is doing an author backed role, be it Anarkali of Aarah or Piku or Raazi.

In fact, if I'm not mistaken, it was TDP which actually brought back the attention of 'commercially viable female centric films' which was missing for a while in between the Khan films. After the success of TDP, there was a flood of female centric films be it flops like Aiyya or Heroine or hits like English Vinglish/Kahaani/Queen etc.

But female centric films have always been there and have had the audience go to the theatre and root for them. Otherwise neither would Hema/Rekha/Sri/Mad become superstars nor would the opening of their films be attributed to them.

I really want to have what the author's smoking. It's been a while I've been to La La Land.

I have no issues with any contemporary actress being compared with a yesteryear legend. It definitely would be a gain for the industry if it gets another actor of the calibre of Sridevi but atleast make some sense while comparing!

Also it's too early to declare anyone a superstar on the basis of one film only. We have seen this with Vidya,Kangana,Shraddha.She definitely has opened Raazi with her own stardom but she can truly be a superstar if she can consistently deliver hits while carrying the film on her own shoulders. I myself have been guilty of rejoicing the 'fourth khan' title Vidya got after kahaani but we all know what happened after that.
