You make: A pic with a fancy border. Difficulty: Easy.
Step 1:
Ok, so you've got Photoshop open, and you're ready to go. Go ahead and paste your image into your working space.
Step 2:
Next, you're going to want to take your Rectangular Marquee Tool (Or use the hot key, which is 'M'), and put a square around the space you're going to keep. Then, press, and hold, ctrl, shift, alt, and press 'I,' giving you another, bigger, square.
Step 3:
This is the easiest part of doing this... press the 'Q' key. Tough, huh? You should get a red square around the image that you put a square around.
Step 4:
Next, go to Filter>Distort>Ripple.
Step 5:
You're going to get a pop-up with a black square on it. Set the amount to "-512".
Step 6:
Let's view what's on our screen, shall we? Currently, we have our image, with a red box on the front, and it has a neat little border.
Step 7:
After that, press the 'Q' button again. The red square should disappear, and you should have what looks like this now.
Step 8:
Yet again, press, and hold, ctrl, shift, alt, and press 'I,' taking away the big square, and leaving you with a little squiggly around the middle of your image.
Step 9:
Press ctrl, shift, alt, and press 'J' to move all of it to a new layer.
Step 10:
Using the Paint Bucket tool, fill the backround with white, and you're done.
For something a little bit different, you could also add a drop shadow to the back | |
