LOVED it.. This is my go to feel good movie..
Don't know why every movie has to show the real struggle nd all.. It was just nice to watch positive
muvi..
I can relate to Ayesha's character.. The need to find an independent life.. Though we are closely attached to our family, but everybody at least once in their lives need to live alone.. uska alag hi mazza hai.. Her flat was so cute.. I so want to get my own place and decorate it as I want..
Ayesha had this checklist of the perfect man who would be her ideal life partner and she found that person.. Her boss was all the things she was looking for.. but when she actually introspected she enjoyed being with Sid more... Being all mature and adult is no fun sometimes.. Sid was all childlike(which she hated at first), but all those little moments with Sid made her life fun.. It showed the young boy-older woman relationship so nicely..
And Mumbai.. It is so so beautifully captured.. Especially in the Boondon ke moti song.. that's my absolute favourite song from the muvi...

I wanted to reply to this post the other day but didn't get around to doing it but thankfully I found it.

After I saw someone made a topic on it, I had this strange urge to watch it. It is one of my favorite films. I love so many things about the movie - the performances were great, the music was touching, the story was brilliant. Okay, I do understand the point that not everything works out or as filmy as it happened but I found the struggle that Sid went through very real... maybe too poetic but still, I have seen such reactions from friends around me.

Also his relationships with his buddies were portrayed so real. Him blaming them for his failure but he's also the guy that pays all the bills and keeps them happy. Not being sensitive to their problems but looking at himself all the time. Transitioning to opening his eyes and seeing the need for growth... I have experienced the same thing but not in terms of like career-wise, but more personality wise... sometimes you don't need to take a jab at someone, you don't have to say double meaning things, it's nice to compliment people etc. When realization dawns, the change can be pretty powerful.

I remember a lot of the dialogues especially when he's drawing the Sid-Simpson... "returns outwards rupees 7000 were wrongly included in sales..." 😆

I think I would've liked a little more romance between Ranbir and Konkona but that probably would've elongated and/or ruined the narrative. But I hope they work together again at some stage.

What is Rahul Khanna up to? He keeps popping up here and there. 😆

Ranbir has been in a few stories involving self discovery but this is his finest.
