- For one, IndiaForums spoilers are true more often than not.
- In the very first episode, we could see that Arjun was over-concerned regarding Pooja. While this may have been due to his pure concern for his bhabhi, it honestly didn't look like that. Atleast to me, it did look fishy,
- He was hell bent on defending Pooja, and he was also trying to convince the others that she would not have cheated, and the reason for that may have been
- It may have just been his trust on his bhabhi.
- However, it could have also been an attempt to try and conceal the fact that she had an affair in the first place so that his truth doesn't come out at all
- Or it could have been because he was in love with Pooja so he didn't want others to talk bad about her.
- These are my observations regarding the whole "accident" itself
- Sr Hooda and Sakshi (which is why she is so guilty) may have gotten to know that Pooja had an affair. However, only Sr Hooda would have found out that Arjun and Pooja had an affair, and/or that Pooja was pregnant with Arjun's child which Arjun himself wouldn't have known (If she was actually pregnant).
- Since Sr Hooda felt his family's reputation was more important than anything, he may have been one of the people who caused their death, intentionally or accidentally.
- We saw how Arjun had a doubt on Sr Hooda during the postmortem, this may have been because he actually loved Pooja and he might have had a doubt on Sr Hooda for causing Pooja's death.
- It looked like the cause of their death was falling off a cliff. Which means that Pooja and Yash weren't shot or anything. So the post mortem report won't reveal any manhandling or physical harassment signs because there weren't any. So then, why was Sr Hooda so rooted on closing the case and not revealing the truth. So then the significant finding from the postmortem must have been Pooja's pregnancy. It is also important to remember that Arjun came to see the reports, whereas Adi and Pooja's mom didn't. This somehow shows that he was more interested in knowing what happened more than the others. Also, there was something fishy in how when Sr Hooda saw Arjun taking the report, he swiftly snatched it from him - almost as if he didn't want Arjun to know the truth at any cost. This may have been because Pooja was pregnant, which he didn't want Arjun to know about. The main reason he must have killed Pooja may have been cuz of the pregnancy (If Pooja decided to keep the baby).
- For someone who had an affair himself, I don't think Sr Hooda would kill Pooja just because she had an affair with Yash. No matter what a big hypocrite he may be, that doesn't make any sense. The reason why he would have taken the step to kill Pooja may have been because Pooja had an affair within the family, moreover being pregnant with her husband's brother. The incest may have been unacceptable for Sr Hooda, because that would substantially stain their reputation. He must have wanted the diary so that Adi doesn't find out the truth at any cost.
- It may also be possible that Sr Hooda didn't have anything to do with their death at all. Zoya's father may have caused their death, that explains why he wouldn't have known about Pooja's diary. If Sr Hooda attempted the murder, he could have taken the diary first itself right? He wouldn't have had to go on this goose chase to find a diary which he could have easily obtained before killing them. The main reason why he was so obsessed with closing the case and getting the diary may have been so that no one gets to know that Pooja was pregnant with Arjun's child or that she had an affair with Arjun.
- Like thilss pointed out, the ring may have been Arjun's. Arjun may have known Yash before hand. And since Yash is far from Mumbai, he must have given the ring to Yash to safeguard the ring. It also explains how the ring was afforded, cuz Arjun is obviously very rich and he could have afforded the ring. Arjun and Pooja may have planned to visit Mussoorie to celebrate her birthday, where Arjun may have planned to propose Pooja. Yash may have gone to receive Pooja (because she is the one who gave Yash 5 crores).
- Arjun and Adi don't look like that they are as close as one would expect them to be. They were definitely nice to each other, but they were never shown to be close, whereas Arjun and Pooja are shown to be very close.
- When Adi was ranting about Pooja, Arjun called him out and said that "Why don't you see that there may have been something wrong from your side which may have pushed her to take such a drastic step and cheat on you, especially for someone who was your childhood Best Friend." - Pooja may not have received the kind of intensity and passion she would have wanted in a relationship with Adi because he was her childhood Best Friend and he did have a more childish personality. Besides, he was away all the time and he didn't remember the smallest things about her like her birthday. But she knew everything about him. All these things may have faded her love for him. She possibly would have still loved and cared for him, but as a friend. Which is why she would have opted for an affair, and Arjun was always there. They must have also known each other since a long time. So that's how their affair would have transpired.
- He was suspiciously more obsessive about the diary than the others, so much so that he himself was willing to take a risk and go and steal it from the station. He may have wanted to hide the truth about their relationship or he would have wanted answers regarding her pregnancy or he would have wanted to know something else. Literally anything is possible.
- This may be why he didn't read the diary the moment he got it, instead he decided to mail it to himself.
- The biggest irony and foreshadowing was the scene in the hospital bed, where Zoya said that "There is so much difference between you and your brother. On one hand there is you, who is so nice and then there is your brother..."
- All the flashbacks show Yash innocent. Even with his friend, it did look like he hardly knew Pooja. Whereas Pooja mostly looked uncomfortable.
- The makers said that the show is all about second chance and falling in love again after being cheated. But they never said that Yash and Pooja had an affair. In my opinion, they cheated. But not with each other. Yash and Zoya's father had a thing going on. We don't know Yash's cheating yet, he might have not had an affair at all.
- A very important point is that, what they show explicitly in Mystery novels or shows is NEVER the truth. The truth is always implicit. And in this case, they over emphasised on the assumption that Yash and Pooja had an affair. Therefore, my Sherlock brain says they definitely couldn't have had an affair together.
- I think we can all agree that Arjun is extremely smart and sharp. He knows what to do and when.
- The most important takeaway from all this is - If Arjun was the one who actually had an affair with Pooja, Adi would be shattered. Because all the people who he loved and cared for the most would have lied to and/or cheated on him - His brother, his mom in law (by hiding), his wife.
