5% is an exaggerated rate and we all know it.

And the likes of Sally and others, don't even charge fees nowadays, it is mostly profit sharing and satellite money.

That's not the point. Of course a male star's movie collects more in a male-dominted industry.

I am not saying they should be paid the same amount. But 5%? Even PC's flop film collected 30cr+. If that is 5% then Salman's flop films should also collect 600 cr. But even his blockbuster films make only half that amount.

Precisely. I see the pay parity as a two fold argument - as in you should be paid according to how meaty your role is that is how much time you have to spend on set and on your ability to draw audience in. In a Salman movie, she will be doing neither 😆. PC had a string of good movies then she dropped off the face of BW, why should she be paid more when the producer cannot be convinced of her ability to draw in the masses.
