But it begs the question will she be what she is today without her husband name and fame? He might be insensitive in his wishes but isn't entirely wrong. She will always be known as Amitabh Bachan's wife.

She was a superstar even before Amitabh became one and would've been much more than what she is today if she didn't quit at the peak of her career and become a full time homemaker while her husband went and made a name for himself!

If Ranveer Singh - Deepika Padukone marriage news is true and if Simba becomes hit, there are chances that Ranveer can become bigger brand than Deepika. (Female lead's shelf life is shorter than male leads. Also children slows down their work, which does not happen with men).

Does that mean, Deepika's identity will be just RS's wife?

Fact is she was(/is) a bigger star than Ranveer, when she said yes to him.

She was the star who married the nobody. She sacrificed her career for her family.
