Ideas to progress Udaan without the leap

The leap promo has released and they has been a mixed response to it. Some excited, some apprehensive, some confused and some like me who firmly believe they don't need to take any leap story wise

Let's look at some crucial points and options they should have considered before taking another leap

Sukor have never really stayed as husband wife under one roof. The writers could focus on showing us that transition. Sukor moving into the haveli, sharing the same bed.

Before Sukor move into the haveli they can show Sukor lavish wedding.

Tejaswani has been away from Sukor for so many years. They could show some of their bonding. They never showed chakor calling Tejaswani mas properly. They could dwell on their relationship. They could show Tejaswani has developed some mental

illnesses bec she was locked on a room for yrs. They can show Sukor get her treated

Yes suraj wants a baby and chakor to wants to fulfill his dream of a happy family but I want to see the journey, I mean suraj discovering chakor is expecting again, Sukor scenes with the doctor, he taking her for regular checkups, a happy godh bhai and suraj being there when doc congratulates him for the birth of the baby girl. Suraj thanking chakor, both holding their baby for the first time. All this phase can be shown slowly over 6 months of so side by side with the a drama based track

The makers could have gone through a infertility issue track too. If executed well that track can get trps up because trp aunties love emotional drama too. They could show Sukor go abroad for treatment.

An abroad track could have been used. They could show chakor is called for some marathon contest and Sukor go abroad. Their they faces conspiracies due to rivals who don't want chakor to win

They could show Sukor collect evidence against hyar and then a mini court track, where Sukor lawyer will turn out to be old enemy of RV

They could show a solid climax for the RV imli track, with high voltage drama. Suraj confronting Imli. After all that, if they don't show that, then what's the point.

They can get rid of imli for few months and bring a new villain, someone linked to RV

They can show a track centering

Chakor marathon career

Suraj opening some NGO or factory

They can show Sukor search for the brides imli sold off and bring them back to their families

They can show ragini come back and claim the property

They can show either kn or vivaan being alive and making come back

They can show new family enter azaadganj who is powerful and their clash with Sukor and villagers

They can show a doc enter azaadganj and he/she create probs

So many ideas, I don't think they need a leap with a baby in the picture

Sumi these are only half of my Idea list, I may share some more over the weekend. I still don't think leap required at this stage.they is plenty they can show

Hmmm...Ruby,I really really appreciate your skills,and yes,everything you mentioned could have been properly integrated into a good track.

But...lemme remind you.

All the points you mentioned are of a typical show,when the couple starts living a typical married life after their problems are sorted out,and all the points are so very predictable.

And we all know it...THAT UDAAN IS DIFFERENT,it has never taken a typical and predictable route,and that has what made the show,what it is,and has kept us here,sometimes positively,sometimes negatively.

And one more thing...Udaan has always been very fast-paced.

comparing to other shows,I have never got any kind of typical scenes,that I get to see in others.

And with the cut throat competition in the 8:30 pm slot...Udaan really cannot afford to show ANYTHING TYPICAL AND PREDICTABLE

The dream of every Sukorian has been shown to be fulfilled in the first part of the promo...but I.myself hold mixed opinions about it.

But I am definitely waiting to witness everything unfolding before concluding.

(I remember by disinterest about the five year leap and my rantings...but I cannot deny that I HAVE BEEN LOVING SURAJ,SUKOR AND UDAAN,EVEN MORE...POST THE LEAP)

Rabia nice to read your views after so long. I agree Udaan is a different show and fast paced but they is no point in dragging negativity and rushing the bits audience looking out for. Execution is the key.. The current track could have been interesting but the execution has been a let down. Yes some tracks o have listed are typical but if they execute well, it can work

Like you I to am waiting to see how the leap unfolds and how the story will be executed. My major concern is the trps and I hope that's the ph and channel main priority too.

Actually I'm happy with end of this political track.

And Imli as mantri never clicked.

Full fledged political track will be boring to watch and I feel,they somehow sensed this that is why dragged this election thing this long and finally ending this.

But the problem is;CVS more than concentrating on Sukor want to explore Imli as a villain.

So if she can't pull off politician they are up for a change.

And 5 leap was all hyped with Imli's look and now this is going to be same.

Her new look will be the talk for some time.

I feel they should have give proper closure to this track.

Don't know what they can show in just two episodes.

A 2 week time could have enough and then start with leap.

About Sukor baby,i have mixed opinion because on one side, happy to see Sukor baby but on the other side,the amount of negativity they are bringing in the story,it's better if there is no baby.

But I feel they are planning baby track for 1 or 1.5 months now because after Sooraj gained memory back,at least 3 times Sooraj discussed about baby to Chakor that week.

but yes they could have avoid this leap.

if they want political track can end making Chakor withdrawn and Imli failing.

And start new one and not necessarily a baby track.

They didn't show open fight between Sukor and Hyar which has scope.

A business track with both teams competing and trying to establish business.

Chakor's marathon career and hyar trying to block it.

This baby track can come later after exploring few others.

Bini you are right the fact that they are ready to make major changes just to fit imli in is making things distasteful. Fact is she is not a good actress so she won't pull through anything they give her. They need a solid villian. I am up for a leap if they change the villain. Hyar together will be a bore to watch again. Freshness should include fresh villain track as well.

Absolutely right ruby you just write it...as a fan i am also wish to see a proper marriage and sukors life leading as a happy couple but as per the promo it will air on Monday so cvs will going on a rush way to hold everything within 2 episodes...anyways strongly believes cvs won't do anything desperately on the matter of kid I mean we are eagerly waiting for sukors own child...Promo was very interesting lets see how the way suraj rescue chakor and excited for suraj Power blasting exposure in front of imli...I am sure it will be a Worth watching one...ok...friend...take care happy Thursday

Ruby you can never run out of Ideas..Im not surprised if therez more to your list..Good Post 👍🏼

(a) I do agree Udaan is fast paced, takes the unpredictable route, But it didn't work out all the time..Only experiments that worked out was in terms of SuKor..Be it the bridal swap, camp wedding, SuKor losing their baby..All these are a huge risk but topped the TRP charts..On the other hand, whenever they tried to fit in their favo lady..Be it baby track-2, the current political track..they utterly failed 👎🏼

(b) Taking about viewership, we were around 3 right after bridal swap..lot of ups and downs..now wavering around 2+..Clearly we lost viewers, But highest points were always marked due to SuKor-KN..Least points were due to..we all know..🤓

(c) About the technical part, writing executing..most of the tracks are lose ended, loop holed, Characters leave without a reason..But SuKor-Kn tracks were mostly smooth, finished, well compiled..😃

Based on my above stated points,

Sukor = experimenting+viewership+execution all are on point..😊

Negativity = monotonous+dip in trp+writing all over the place..

This upcoming track is a blend of both..Again a huge risk, but I wish it works out well..After all Udaan is now the most successful long running show 😳 Makers know it by now, what is boon and what is bane to them..So PROGRESS WITH LEAP is their current formula..We have no choice but to stay tuned
