Kajol's compiment-not in good taste

On Saturday,Kajol complimented Anamika 's rendition of Pyar to hona hi tha saying that she was "much better than the original".I thought the comment was unwarranted.Anamika did a very good job👏,but Jaspinder Narula had done an excellent job in the original and Anamika's performance was nowhere near it.

Once in SRGMP C-05,when Twinkle bajpai sang this song,Jatin-lalit remarked that this song was very diificult to sinng and they had to search all over for a female siger who could sing in this pitch.They said that they had tried numerous singers,but no one could get the high notes right.After a long time,they found Jaspinder Narula.I think Kajol should've given more respect to the original singers and not made this kind of a remark without thinking.

Performance-wise too,Anamika was good,but didn't sing all the variations in the original.....my opinion...

plz tell me wht u tht of Kajol's comment and of Anamika's performance.😳

When Kajol said that I thought here we go again...........😃. If I am not wrong then even Sonu Nigam once said something similar. This better than original comment is droning.

I 'm not sure if Sonu said this.In fact,if I remember right,Sonu once remarked that "many ppl tell singers that u have sung better than the original.But i don't endorse this statement,coz i feel every singer has his own style/way of renderig a song"..something to that effect...however,he might have remarked something abt "better than original"statement to someone who sang a HR song😆...and I think it might be quite apt too(in many cases 😉)

I think Ajay tried to cover for his wife's comment...because he also mentioned how hard it was to find the perfect singer for that song...he said she sang as good, but he didn't say Anamika sang better than the original...and yeah, I didn't agree with Kajol either...
