why does IF considers varun & alia undeserving? always credits nep - Page 8

Alia owes her career to KJo who brainwashed us all into believing that she's the second coming of Madhubala and Meena Kumari together. Social media, TV. print media everywhere there were stories of her talent..Something similar to that winking girl Priya who is being foisted on us these days.Alia was nowhere ready to handle complex roles like Highway.But the media sang paeans to her great talent.She was too young for Dear Zindagi -which should have gone for an older,confident actress like Deepika, Priyanka etc.But to give Alia due credit, she made the most of her opportunities.She slowly improved to the point that she deserves the plum scripts which are being handed over to her now.

My problem with Alia is that she's been handed everything on a platter and has literally seen zero struggle. She neither approaches directors, fight for movies..even the one flop she had, there was constant whining in press about how depressed she is because of it..at times she supposedly hasn't even read the script prior to shooting..the risky choices she then gets credit for aren't even really her choices. My question is would she do them if they were not sourced by or backed by KJo in the first place? Now she's made the most of those opportunities so whatever. She's not a case of Kareena/Abhishek who literally got 10+ movies after disasters and years to make any kind of mark, but I have yet to see someone in BW who has had it SO easy. Everyone has different struggles but in Alia's case I can't even see one struggle. So people might like her, but they generally rally behind those who rise from the ashes. *shrugs*
