In an interview with Society magazine, Khan said that he was referred to as a burger bachcha' a term used for English medium kids in Pakistan. He said, "It is actually a very demeaning term. I had this very heavy American accent. Like a Yankee accent. Then I saw a Bollywood award show where some poor expat was talking to a very big Bollywood celebrity in this accent. But the celeb took the piss out of him because of his accent. That day I realised this can turn out to be terrible for me.

In the same publication, Khan opened up about his shopping antics. He said, "I can't go shopping without her. I am a timid shopper, who goes into a shop and looks at what my wife's reaction to things are.

Fawad look so odd and horrible in those earlier pictures. Glad he got the nose job done else he looked like Rahul Roy from Aashiqui 😕😆

That is ridiculous, changing your whole accent because a few douchebags poke fun at it, own whatever you are, those same people mocking would probably deep inside by dying for the accent cuz otherwise they just have their basic desi accent, in India they consider it some sorta privilege when they hear an accent had experience with it myself

I didn't watch the full IV myself but besides his accent, his whole way of speaking is different. Heard him bleeped and even say "Buzz off!" - a far cry from the regal, soft demeanour of his IVs today.

When South Asians fake an "American accent," it's usually a mixture of LA and a general Hollywood-ized mix-max version. Sounds awful to a native. Just be yourself.

How can a boy born and brought up in Pakistan have a Yankee accent? Smh
