How do we stop people from falling in love? By creating laws against it? Taking the worst examples and feeding them to lynch mobs?

You didn't make much sense. What exactly are you trying to say?

You just called Indian Muslims as "they" ... and I still don't make sense to you. We can't make sense to each other sorry, its inevitable, we are a divided country in its core since thousands of years and now divided in 3 states again, we continue our sad history.

So what did you expect me to say, "We"? Even if I'm not an Indian Muslim myself?
Here I'm trying to show you Muslims themselves don't tolerate inter-religious marriages when it concerns their girls, and you're quibbling over semantics. Stick to the point.

I am with the point, just because I see the point differently doesn't mean that I am missing the point here, its just that your way of seeing it is different from mine.

Yes, for me its "we" as we are all Indians. We are Indian muslims or hindus or atheists or christians. This form of division, this form of us vs them in the same country has never been good for us. For thousands of years we have done this, this has ruined us.

Do you think the Rajputs were not doing this on some other religious or traditional issue to forward their political purposes? Not just the Rajputs, the whole of India. Then came the Muslim rulers, and in time when some portion of Indians converted to Islam (which happened before Muslim rulers started to come in) and the descendants of the Muslim rulers merged with the general Indian population, they became yet another reason for us Indians to fight between each other.

We just hate ourselves and each other. It is evident on how we treat White Foreign people and how we treat each other in their lands.

In our country we would go for us vs. them, in their countries we preach love!?

How can an Indian be so much negative about another Indian, either on the basis of State, Caste and Religion? We have all these vices so prevalent, and we (just like myself) love to keep holding on to it.

It is so confusing and distressing, coming from a country I never called home into a country which I thought of as home. Everyday I realise, how similar we are to those very same people 3000 years ago, fighting the same war - crying out the same curses - frustrated by the same plague of distrust and discord.

Love has no place amongst us I suppose.

I think you're intentionally being obtuse. It'll be just plain stupid if I lump all of India together by saying 'we' practice honour killing. No all of us don't, only certain sections do. One of those sections happens to be Muslims. They need to rectify that within their community, others don't. Just to prove unity I can't blame all communities.

You're looking at a macro level, by nationality, I'm looking at a more granular level, by different groups within the nation. Former is pretty easy and less informed people do it all the time. Like saying, Indians don't have toilets at home, Muslims are terrorists, Arabs are filthy rich sheikhs, Americans are gun toting mass murderers, etc. etc.. For a change try to go deeper and see the diversity rather than taking the easy way and lumping them all together.
