I am with the point, just because I see the point differently doesn't mean that I am missing the point here, its just that your way of seeing it is different from mine.
Yes, for me its "we" as we are all Indians. We are Indian muslims or hindus or atheists or christians. This form of division, this form of us vs them in the same country has never been good for us. For thousands of years we have done this, this has ruined us.
Do you think the Rajputs were not doing this on some other religious or traditional issue to forward their political purposes? Not just the Rajputs, the whole of India. Then came the Muslim rulers, and in time when some portion of Indians converted to Islam (which happened before Muslim rulers started to come in) and the descendants of the Muslim rulers merged with the general Indian population, they became yet another reason for us Indians to fight between each other.
We just hate ourselves and each other. It is evident on how we treat White Foreign people and how we treat each other in their lands.
In our country we would go for us vs. them, in their countries we preach love!?
How can an Indian be so much negative about another Indian, either on the basis of State, Caste and Religion? We have all these vices so prevalent, and we (just like myself) love to keep holding on to it.
It is so confusing and distressing, coming from a country I never called home into a country which I thought of as home. Everyday I realise, how similar we are to those very same people 3000 years ago, fighting the same war - crying out the same curses - frustrated by the same plague of distrust and discord.
Love has no place amongst us I suppose.
