I think revealing her as Naina Sameer Maheshwari would have killed the suspense quotient... maybe that's why they introduced her as Naina Agarwal not sure abt Preeti though.

I feel they retained their maiden names or did not reveal their married names to keep the suspense.

The surname is to keep the suspense. Moreover, she comes to school to relive her memories as Naina Agarwal.

they definitely must have retained their maiden names...but as this story is based on a real life couple so obviously they are married and all this must be a way of maintaining a suspense quotient😊
