I remember back in the days...there used to be such a craze for actresses like Madhuri, Juhi, Sridevi...and later Kajol, Karishma...and then the era of Rani-Preity-Ash followed by Kareena-Katrina-Priyanka...and ofcourse there was a time where Deepika/Vidya did well.

After that...what happened? Even with Sulu and Padmavati...Deepika/Vidya's stardom is not the same. Although people like Anushka/Kangana/Alia have done well...from a stardom standpoint, they're kind of bland...lets be honest - they are not superstars.

Its not the same with the males star...Varun, Ranbir, Ranveer have solid fan following, they can easily be called big stars... Even Tiger has his own audience and niche. Hell i'd say even Arjun is doing well compared to his female counterparts.

But our girls are awful...Theres really only Alia/Shraddha who are getting substancial work...the rest of the girls are barely relevant. But there really is nobody who has that superstar aura/hype around them.

Seriously ?? Has Arjun's any film seen the kinda opening DP has seen with 3 Films ?? First two were with SRK, but this one wasnt, right ??

What about Piku, has his any film as much loved as Piku ??

I guess even Vidya's Kahani did much better then any of Arjun's Film, right ?

Deepika is a superstar. She is bigger than all the heroes. Uske naam pe film chalti hai

I think I understand what you are saying.. there's no actress today that is a 'sensation' ?

Sure there are fans of Deepika, Katrina, Alia, blah blah , but... I see this only over social media... in real life, we don't take about BW anymore.

Alia and Deepika may be getting work and are superstars, but they sure lack the ...something... :D :p

i think deepika is overrated... She is not a sensation for sure... having fans is not the only criteria...

i think we really need a female superstar asap... Vidhya had potential but she is also done now...

The only female superstars were Hema Malini, SriDevi and Madhuri Dixit...other than that can't think f anyone...

From the current generation Deepika, Katrina are the top stars who work well if paired with another superstar actor or director...but not on their own...they have substantial fan following if we compare them with Anushka, Alia, Kareena or PC the other major female stars.
