Incorrect. The guy was given adhoc exemption from custom duties(about 150 percent)by issuing a special notification. It was extremely unfair. If I remember correctly, even Ravi Shashtri asked for a similar exemption after Sachin's but he was denied.

OT: How can her CA miss sth simple like this? Sounds Fishy.

That is roughly the average time taken for a verdict... Btw, the situation for a case arises when the person disputes the tax demand... The demand for Tax was made 10 years back... She could have paid it anytime... Ppl refuse to pay legit taxes and prefer to pay lawyers for prolonging the case... Bec she refused to pay, there was a case.. Now she has to pay the tax and the interest for 10 years

FYI...as per new rules every income tax scrutiny case limit is one year ..income tax officer have to giv a verdict in given time ...after that assesee can appeal in CIT against income officer verdict..even CIT also have to give their judgment in time.

Ummm.. Actually no... Its not that simple... There are various kinds of assessments and scrutiny and the time frames refer to specific stuff ... Infact the govt had enhanced the powers of the IT deptt in order to curb black money and they can now reopen decade old cases subject to terms and conditions... Tax laws are way too complicated for general discussion on IF 😉

Anyways this isn't relevant at all to PC's case.. But I'll agree on inverse relation between logic and IF 😛

Which watch is this? And why would PC drive a Toyota. Lol. She is open about her love of luxury cars especially her Rolls Royce so it's best to sell this off before it costs her.

in above comment you said 6-7 year lagtey hai judgement aane main ...maine uska answer diya ...yes they can reopen the case 😉

Logic aur IF ka door door tak ka koi nate rishtedaar nahi 😆
