collaborating for the first time in Zoya
Akhtar's Gully Boy which is based on the
lives of street rappers. The duo will soon
start shooting for the movie this month as
the prep work for the same began last year
itself.
Talking about the movie and working with
Zoya again after Dil Dhadakne Do, Ranveer
said to a leading daily, "In January itself, I
start Gully Boy for which I collaborate with
Zoya, who is very dear and special in my life
as a collaborator, person as well as a
director."
The actor was also all praises for his co-star
Alia and added, "Also, it's my first
collaboration on a full-length feature film
with Alia [Bhatt], who I rate very high as an
actor. She is certainly among the best actors

her way towards greatness."

Besides, Gully Boy, Ranveer has Sanjay Leela
Bhansali's Padmavati, Rohit Shetty's Simmba
and Kabir Khan's '83 which is a biopic based
on cricketer Kapil Dev. When asked if he feels
a bit of pressure due to the exceeding
expectations from his movies, Ranveer
revealed, "I would not term it as pressure'
as it has a negative connotation. I look at it
as responsibility. And my first responsibility
is towards people whose lives are directly
connected with mine my family, friends,
team and fans, who contribute to my life in
a direct way. I am answerable to them as
well."
