Yes but this is an occupational hazard. Actors have to just drop all emotions and do what is expected of them. I think initially it's probably tough. But after a point you get used to it.


If not, how on earth can you do 50 shades of grey type stuff? You can tell those people are professionals. They just get the job done. Their job is to "enact" something we have to feel is real as they are in the job of storytelling.

As someone who dabbles in writing, I can tell you, writing love / sex scenes is hard to do, but you do them if you feel it is required in the story. Acting just means you have to actually present the writer's vision. But that job is the "Directors". The director translates the "Vision" and the actors follow his / her instructions. It's like a 3-4 rung process. The last part is the camera that captures everything and then the editing. So much work to give us one goosebump-inducing scene!

It's taxing I am sure.
