Devi sat on Adhiraj's bed, sighing heavily she zipped up her suitcase
Adhiraj stood in the corner, watching, waiting for her to laugh and say this was all a joke
Pinching the top of his nose , he closed his eyes, surely this couldn't be real.
He watched as she folded her wedding clothes and put it on his bed, her clothes worn plain and white.
Rubbing the sindoor from her head she grabbed at her mangalsultra and watched as the beads hit the floor
Her words repeating in his head "I have always respected you and our relationship, but I never recieved that back, I took everything you and your family gave me, but no more Adhiraj, no more, you're dead to me, my husband is dead to me"
Her words hit ten times harder as he looked at the white sari she now wore, her sindoor now removed, the mangalsultra beads lying on the floor
Bending down he tried to pick them up and fix them, looking up at Devi, he wanted so much to beg her to stay
But this time he had to let her go, to let her be the beauty she is and he would remain the beast.
The last thing he saw, the scar on her back as she walked away
"Run Devi, run so far that I may never find you because I cannot stop myself from trying"
His words were a whisper as he stood in the room alone.
