Omkara was concentrating on perfecting the wings of the bird he was sculpturing, when Shivay entered. Omkara halted what he was doing to turn to look at his brother.

"Dinner?? asked Shivay

"I have to complete this, Shivay. I will join you later. Said Omkara

"Come on, Om. Teri wali Palak Paneer aur kheer banarahi hai. Said Shivay with a smirk

Om looked at his brother pointedly, "Voh meri wali nahi hai.

"No? asked Shivay. "Om, she is more like a part of the family now. She visits temple with Daadi, accompanies badi maa for shopping, plays chess with papa and bade papa every weekend and now also stared to attend kitty parties with mom. She has already become Oberoi's Half Bahu.

"Come on Shivay. Not you too. Complained Omkara.

Gauri has more or less becomes part of Oberois in the past six months. Everyone is now clearly aware of her interest in Zulfi Singh Oberoi much to Omkara's chagrin. The worst part is that his whole family is amused by it and encourages it. His Daadi keeps on telling him how takkar ke Gauri is for him. His parents have kind of practically adopted her. Omkara won't be surprised if the disown him, if he by mistake makes her sad. And the most surprising member of her fan club is Rudra. When Gauri promised that she will cheer up Rudra, Omkara thought that she will only talk to him and convince him. But, Gauri went on brought her cousin Bhavya to Mumbai and in her language Dono ki setting karva di.'

Omkara was completely against the idea. However, seeing Bhavya and Rudra together no one can help but be awed by the fact that Casanova Oberoi is now completely smitten by the fiery girl. Daadi also declared them to be Takkar ke' and Rudra a Ishqbaaz'.

Though Gauri hadn't directly asked him about accepting her condition and be her boyfriend, she has clearly been dropping hints always putting Omkara in spot.

Everyone was already in dining table, when Omkara went to there. Gauri, as usual was the centre of everyone's attention. She was narrating one of her escapades from a strict professor.

"Thank god, I escaped. That man would have made me a kebab for disturbing his class. Said Gauri

"Ha, she escaped leaving me behind. Complained Rudra

Omkara could never understand how easily Rudra and Gauri have become best of friends all of a sudden.

"Rudra, more important than being mischievous is having a plan to escape from it. Tej warned

"Were you mischievous as a kid, Tej uncle? asked Gauri.

"Haan, bahut. Answered Daadi. "He would even pull Shakti into his schemes.

"Tabi toh Rudra is so naughty. Said Jhanvi. "I had hard to time managing him as a kid.

"Yeh, Shivay bhi. Added Pinky, " He used to run around the whole house at the sight of food in my hand. He hated to eat.

"Aur Omkara? asked Gauri eagerly looking at Jhanvi. "How was he as a kid?

Omkara lifted his head from his plate to glare at Gauri, but she was looking at his mother expectantly. Shivay nudged Omkara with a mocking grin earning a glare.

"Om? He was such a shaant bacha. Said Jhanvi. "Never troubled me. Very quietly he used to spend time sketching in his notepad.

"Aww... chorused Gauri, Rudra and Shivay in chorus annoying Om.

"Please, guys. Om warned

"Gauri, don't worry, even your kids will be shaant. Commented Rudra making Gauri blush.

Completely crazy family' mumbled Omkara as he stood up and headed towards the stairs. His steps halted at the sound of the ever annoying ringtone

Omkara turned to glare at Gauri, who was looking at her phone. Other Oberois were snickering at Omkara's ever present irritation on hearing Gauri's ringtone.

Omkara was leaning on the couch with his leg placed on the table, sketching while Rudra was sitting beside him playing in his phone.

"Buoys... called Shivay as he sat on the bean bag opposite his brother after placing a beautiful charm bracelet in a jewel box in front of his brothers.

"What is this? Have we started jewellery business also? asked Omkara

"No, this is the gift I bought for Gauri for her birthday. Said Shivay.

"Wow, she will definitely like this bhaiya, but not more than mine. I and Bhavya have bought her a DVD collection of all Salman Khan Movies from start. Said Rudra

"Not bad... agreed Shivay then turned to Omkara, "What have you bought?

"Me? asked Omkara, "Nothing. He shrugged

"Ahhh gasped Rudra dramatically. "Nothing?? How rude O.

"Why should I buy anything?

"Come on, Om. This is her first birthday after...

"After what Shivay? asked Om looking at his brother pointedly

"We both! Seriously! Shivay what is there between both of us, huh? Nothing. Said Omkara in a sharp tone. "I tolerate all the drama all of you do with her but I am not part of it, okay?

"Give me a break, Shivay. I am not interested. How difficult is that to understand?

"If that so, then why didn't you tell her earlier. Why keep her hanging for all these months? asked Shivay

Omkara who turned around was shocked to see Gauri behind him.

Wiping her eyes, Gauri ran from there.

Omkara closed his eyes in regret.

"I will not annoy you anymore, Omkara. I am sorry. Gauri was about to walk away but Omkara stopped her holding her hand.

Gauri didn't turn to look at him, but didn't try moving either.

"Will you listen to me one minute? asked Omkara

She nodded.

"Remember, I told you I will give us a chance if Rudra is happy? he asked

She nodded again

"That time I didn't know my family would be involved with you this strongly. It has become like a pressure for me to accept you and that didn't settle well with me. He confessed

"What do you intent to say?'

"Well, if my family is not in picture and I can spend free time with you alone, then I am sure I will have enough time to think about us.'

Gauri turned to him with a frown.

"Do you mean I should make your family hate me? she asked

"Don't be dramatic, Gauri. I just want you to not act like an adopted Oberoi daughter. Said Omkara

"But, I love your family. Pouted Gauri

"Okay, quick decision me or my family? asked Om

Om smiled at her confidence and nodded.

Wanted to make lots of changes in the update, as I realized readers had different expectation from the story. But, I am caught up in some important stuff and no time to write. Hope you enjoy it.
