In my opinion, it doesnt matter what other people are wearing because nowadays, people just wear what they are comfortable in anyways. If someone likes halters, spaghettis, or tube tops, I dont think its wrong to wear it at all. But.. I guess it would be kinda disrespectful to go an Indian function, like a katha, in a tube top or something like that. As for Indian dresses, I don't think people that wear them are 'behenjis.' I guess people will think differently about clothes because we all have different tastes! 😊

Dress is more like an occasion thing. You wear a sleeping suit at night, swim suit while swimming. I'm sure if you go in an Indian salwar suit for swimming, you will get stares as well if you go to temple or religious place in short skirts and normal top.

You go for a business meeting or interview and wear saree or you go to traditional Indian gathering and wear outrageous western outfit. You go to your parents-in-law's relative in jeans and all decked up to school. You go to a hospital to see someone in ICU with Indian dress and well matching jewellery. These things just don't go together. In a nutshell dress code more depends on place you are going to.

Also it's important if you can carry the dress or not. You gave en example of Nikki, she was wearing a very very revealing top with half the body advertizing, does not look good on anyone besides Mallika Sherawat 😉, just kidding! It does not look good, period. Nikki does not have good figure either to carry it well. Not that I lost respect after that but I can never appreciate such a thing.

It the end, I will say that your dressing sense reflects your personality and taste. People usually make their first opinions by looking at you. So one should a little more careful while dressing up 😃 😃

You may be able to judge a person from the outside (based on their clothes), but if you really want to know the "true them", you don't need to look at their clothes for that. To a certain extent, clothes do reflect a person's personality, but what you see from the outside doesn't neccesarily have to be bad. For example, if you look at pics of Natasha (from Kavyanjali) and see her in those short shorts, and mini skirts and dresses you think, "oh what a sleezy girl". But when you hear her talk, get to know the real her........its like a totally different person.

What I am trying to say is that we are too quick to judge. We expect to see what we want to see and if we don't see that, we start to make judgement calls. Revealing too much skin may see harmless to some, but in a way it gives people the wrong impression of you (like you are trying to show off your body on pupose or something) and that's were name-calling comes into play.

It depends on the person then the body. If you feel comfortable and most importantly confident wearing something revealing or traditional salwar kameez.......go for it.....but with some class. 😃 .........NOT like Malika Sherawat 😆

A person should dress according to the event/atmosphere. Nowadays, we have a lot of choices to dress. In a club, wear tank-tops, in a mandir, wear a saree/suit, at work, wear business clothes, with friends, wear jeans, at home, wear pajamas. So,,,,,,,,,,it all depends upon what you are up to. But personality does show up through clothing style. Waering a deep deep deep deep neck blouse doesn't tell people that you are conservative...it says you are a HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

hi

PLZ DO NOT GET OFFENDED

i believe that u should dress modestly and think about wat u goin to where, for example if u decide to where mini skirts and tube tops an go out an then u get people staring (ie boys, men) then u yell at them to stop lokking or commenting about u, or u get annoyed by that and then complain......i would say why did u dress like that in the first place, obviously if ur gonna flaunt ur body besharram lokh r going to look.

at the end of the day u must dress appropriately
and its the intention that counts.if ur dil is saaf then there isn't a problem. look at wat ur going to where and spare a moment to think would i be comfortable!

in my opinion its ok to were wearsten clothes AS LONG as though u r COVERED and r not EMENSELY REVIELING ur body

plz do not get ofened this is my opinion and isn't a personal remark
