People like Rajkumar Rao, Shabana, Tabu, Nawaz, Irrfan, Nas Shah etc will ALWAYS steal every show ever made/produced/present simply because I believe, they were born to act. They're extremely talented individuals. Yet, they can't be compared to commercial superstars because the genres & talent ranges are too different. The most over-rated actors for me are Salman & SRK. SRK is my forever celeb love, but I've no qualms in saying that Fan & Raees made me LOL. Comparing drastically different actors isn't fair to any one of them.

Varun's father gets his films for him. (Even if this was true, the film doesn't rest on David, he is not the one who the public are paying to see - again, invalid.) Same goes for Alia. Earlier, I would also question why she's getting so many opportunities but she's made the best out of all of them - delivered some great performances so she is deserving of the opportunities that come to her IMO.

Varun and Alia haven't signed bad films... (bad films meaning flops? Maybe their presence is what saves some of their films? Kabhi socha hai 😳 At least that's the case with Dishoom, for sure. 😆)

Also love how the TM credits everything but Varun/Alia for their success (from hit songs to big production house etc.) but Sid gets sole credit for the opening of Ek Villain. Kamaal hai 😆

Anyway, this viewpoint is nothing new though I was hoping after 9 straight successes, this will die down. Guess people won't change... They'll just be waiting in the wings for Varun to fail once and they'll be like: Aha! I told you so. 😆😆

Also if I may add ...in a recent iv to anupama he said 'i keep in mind my audience in haryana and UP belt coz they r my target audience' *rolls eyes* ...that kinda robbed all my respect for him...it's sad to see he has succumbed to the pressure of being a constant hit machine... hopefully films like October and sui dhaga will help him to get some credibility as an actor...that's all :)

smh,to satisfy you he shouldn't cater to his audience again?...those UP,Haryana are the one that makes a star to become superstar..All these multiplex audience will leave when you start doing bad as they do ranbir

he doesn't need to have a credibility as an actor...salman doesn't and he is doing well for himself even actors like srk,akshay are called bad actors sometimes


audience love is better than some best actor achievement... srk,salman will command more respect anywhere they go than ranbir,irfan,rajkumar and co

rajkumar and ayushman are 30cr hero..they are another irfan

they aren't star material

I am not a fan of any but I do have a hard time giving their credit to solely nepotism.

Rajkumar and Ayushman will change the definition of commercial star? 👏 Behan hogi teri lifetime 2 cr and he just dropped trailer of his next 'Shadi mein zaroor aana' that's not 'niche' it's a basic mainstream movie and we shall see how much it will earn.. doubt it's lifetime will be in double digits. Ayushman gave disaster in meri pyaari bindu add flops Nautanki Saala Bewakoofiyan which too were regular romcoms ,Hawaizada disaster with LT of 6 cr but yeah let's overhype bcuz BKB did humongous business of 35 cr? 😉
