On Thursday, RCB Women defeated DC Women by 6 wickets in the 2026 WPL final. Smriti, who scored 87 runs off 41 balls, was named Player of the Match. It was later revealed that she had played through the match while battling a 103-degree fever the night before. This victory marked RCB's second consecutive WPL title.

Smriti wedding controversy with Palash

Last year, Smriti was engaged to Palash, a well-known singer and composer. The couple planned to marry in Sangli, Smriti's hometown, and pre-wedding celebrations were underway. However, the wedding was canceled just before the ceremony.
