Rani Mukerji: I love being a full-time mother, but I think it is time

Rani Mukerji is a proud mother to her little
daughter Adira Chopra. The actor was on a
sabbatical from work after the birth of her
baby.
Now, the actor is set to be back on the big
screen with YRF's Hichki being directed by
Siddharth Malhotra. Recently, during an
interaction with a leading daily, Rani spoke
about her new role as a mother stating, "As
they say, 'When you become a mother, your
child gives birth to you as a mother'. I am
learning every day as a mother and I am
sure my daughter will teach me much more
about motherhood. Also, it all depends on
her."
She further said, "Your child should know
you as an independent mother and respect
you not just for being a mother who looks
after them, but also for being independent
enough to go out there in the world and
work."
Rani went on to say about working parents
saying, "They will understand that work is
important, as they are always like, 'My
parents go out to make a living and come
home to spend time with me'."
The talented actor concluded by stating, "I
love being a full-time mother, which I have
enjoyed in the last two years. But I think it is
time for me to get back to work (smiles)."
In an interview with a daily when Rani was
asked about Hichki, she had said, "I was
looking for a script that would challenge
and excite me, and Hichki came my way.
Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us
back, it could be a disability or any condition
but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup,
we can emerge as a winner. It won't come
in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki
is built on this positive premise and I have
decided to take it up."
