Sometimes people tend to lose sense of reality and fall in love with the character and make him/her real by deluding themselves...or alternatively because their idol is playing a character they tend to glorify the character ...as long people are able to discern this and stick to reality , as you mentioned...all,is OK.
This extends to real life of the Idol too...subjective reality ...for eg...the other day some Aamir fan was making Moral judgement on Neetu Singh for Ranbir's behaviour...is Aamir' ammi to be blamed for his cradle snatching ways by that logic ??đ...doubt he would have agreed.đ.
...being a fan is ok...but being deluded and blinded isn't...IMO
On the topic ...Tanki's attack was on SLB for romanticising a evil character from history ...and I think it started much before this thread...and this thread @symbolism is subtely endorsing it further( another buzz )...where as Rahul was evilish and psychic character and projected so...fundamental difference between the two.
