Brahma did have children eg Narad, Daksh Prajapati(Sati's father) etc ...and basically everyone is a descendent of brahma...not just Rajput...the concept of vansh is debatable ...Manusmriti and puranas have different versions.

Gotra indicates lineage...and it traces to Rishis, who have descended from Brahma.
