Ya you trashed the movie but made so many excuses as to why it might have flopped. 😆

1. Laugh at every stale joke in the movie, even if it isn't funny, because the rest of people in the theater are laughing. So it must be "entertaining".

2. Laugh at every sexist joke in the movie, even if you are feminist or preach about feminism on online forums, because it is "entertaining" and you are a hypocrite. (Doesn't matters if you are already an MCP.)

3. Cheer for the hero when he harasses the heroine. Even if it's creepy in real life, it's okay in the movies because the guy is charming and handsome, and not to forget it's "entertaining".

4. Forget about the laws of gravity when a fight scene comes. You are not even a pseudo-intellectual, but a complete idiot if you expect logic in fight scenes.

5. Cheer for the Hero when he dances like a monkey(Read Bhai), and you also have to dance along with him like laundey laphade.

I'm also guilty of doing some of the things above, so no need to jump on me. 😆 I'm not insulting any audience. This comment was just for fun.

I never laugh on sexist jokes, it just doesn't feel right and I'm a feminist. If anything, it kills my mood when something sexist/racist/homophobic/transphobic etc comes up as a joke. But again, I don't find most things funny or entertaining cos I'm extremely picky and get bored quicker than anything, I'll watch 100 movies or shows and only like two or three out of them... so even if I wasn't a feminist I doubt I would have laughed anyway 😆

Your comment is pretty much spot on tho

Easy.
I do it all the time. Marvel super heroes, desi masala movies. If you have grown up on Thailava movies it is a skill you unknowingly acquire. 😆

I think many superhero films are so well made though. From Wonder Woman to Spiderman to Deadpool to The Dark Knight. I have no problem watching a good, effort-filled masala movie like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But when masala movies with little to no effort and just cliched sexist bakwaas is there, hell to the no. Ain't nobody got time for that 😆
